.co.uk For their debut album, kids' favourites the Tweenies eschew the realms of the nursery rhymes they peddle in their TV series, in favour of a more poppy feel. So instead of counting songs and tales of life on the farm, you get bright and breezy poppy tunes promoting friendship and the joys of life. The series theme tune, "Hey, hey are you ready to play" is there in all its Day-Glo glory, along with "We're gonna have a party!" and the smash-hit single "No. 1". If you're planning a kids' party, then look no further--a quick test of the album on a bunch of three-year-old kids soon had them all up and bouncing about, and many of them even instantly recognised the dulcet tones of Jake, Milo, Bella, Fizz and Doodles. Fun for all the family.--Mel Roberts.

Buy if want to listen to your childhood
I grew up with the Tweenies, listening to this feels nostalgic.

Ignore the characters, this is classic pop.
I have to give this 5 stars, as some of the songs are a complete revelation. As with all albums, some tracks are poorer than others, but with half a dozen tracks as good as anything S Club or Kylie have put out, and one track (Birthday Song) so good that the writer and performers deserve eternal thanks for its emotional kick-back, then this should be in the collection of all who play and write pop music.

A great pop compendium!
It's a great idea, and the songs are very, very good. Some are not, of course, but most of them will have even the most sensible grownup tapping his or her feet. I recommend it!
