How sharp is the nib's tip and does it hold its edge? One of the sharpest edges is the Osmirod but it other issues. Thank you - Milo

It's sharp enough to make nice, crisp lines. These nibs are manufactured in Germany from stainless steel - so precision is build in. Using good quality ink the nibs do not get clogged up. No need for a whetstone with these pens.

Can it take a converter and if so what kind?

I have five Lamy's compatible with the "joy" kit. All of my Lamy converters leak and have low ink capacity. Horrible converters. I trashed them. So yes you "can" use Lamy converter, but why? . . . I simply re-ink my Lamy T-10 cartridges with a blunt needle and syringe. e.g. Noodler's water proof ink colors: Socrates violet, Liberty's Elysium blue (goulet pens exclusive), Lexington Gray, Dostoyevsky turquoise, and Black.

does this set also come in a left handed version?

There are no alternate versions of this product, however it is possible for left-handed people to use this set depending on the way they write.

How do you cover the nibs while not in use?

I use the two small black plastic caps that come with the kit. These caps are (so far) adequate to keep the unused nib-fee-grip-cartridge assembly from drying out. The caps appear to be the same as used inside the normal closure with pocket clip. The little caps have a seal that fits around the grip near the nib's interface in a circular hard o-ring-like section. Just look inside the normal pen top and compare the little caps to the end of the grip near the nib. Looks the same to me.
