Fresh and Amazing
- Great packaging. Make sure you lock it well if you are not using the whole thing. - Fresh aroma as if freshly roasted. - Amazing thick espresso with crema. A perfect sign of freshly rasted high quality coffee. This was my first order, will update if the quality remains strong.

great flavor, great aroma on the bean, decent aroma on the brew.
I took a chance on the new brand & was not disappointed. I have been searching for a daily drinker for about 15 years now...and while this is not it, it'll definitely be on my short list. I typically cycle my favorite big dollar beans into my rotation and have about 5 different beans that I can purchase w/out my wife roasting my beans over my preference for quality brew. This will make that list along w/ Coffee Bean Direct (CBD) Colombian Supremo as the only other Colombian I will drink. I was adverse to the Colombian coffees for the longest time because everyone always went with them and i'd prefer something that wasn't so hip. However, after running through all the CBD beans, I settled on the Colombian as my go to daily drinker. I like this Colombian better than the CBD Colombian which had become one of my main daily drinkers. The coffee is not dried out, not too oily, perfect smooth flavor lacking acidity, however, the aroma was somewhat lackluster on the grind. On the bean it was better than most, but not quite heavenly. On the brew it was sufficient, but still lacking. Needless to say, after smelling the first waft of the beans my hopes shot up, on grind, they plummeted, and then on brew they stayed down...with an average smell not sufficient to bring me back up. But upon first sip, I was back on high. It is definitely a great cup of java...I'll not hesitate to order more from this company. Another preference I have of these guys is the 2lb bag, enough to be economical over the 1lb offerings, but not quite a 5lb bulk bag. Towards the end of 5lb bag of CBD (I buy 2 bags at a time, one for work, one for home) I start to run into too much chafe in my grinds, here there was no chafe in a single grind from the bag. Great brew...i'll be back for round two. For reference to my top 3 coffee choices - Hawaiian Roasters Kona medium roast, CBD Sumatra, Coffee Roasters of Jamaica Jamaican Blue Mountain. For reference to my top 3 daily drinkers - CBD Colombian Supremo, this FRC Colombian, Magnum JBM blend, and if i can't wait for shipping, Starbucks' Pikes Place.

Delicious, good quality and excellent price.
Iโm really impressed with this brand coffee this is the second 2lb bag I have purchased this flavor taste similar to Dunkinโ Donuts original flavor and I also purchased the Italian roast which was delicious. I would highly recommend this coffee and look forward to trying the other flavors. I drink this coffee hot and black or iced with half and half, both ways are excellent.

A very pleasant surprise.
I'm very pleased with this coffee. I keep several varieties of whole bean on hand so I can switch up my coffee when I feel like a change of pace. I have been using other brands of Colombian Supremo for a long time and it's hard to beat a good cup of Supremo. I wasn't completely satisfied with the others I had tried, they weren't bad but I knew there was better coffee to be had so when I worked my way through a bag of whole beans I'd order something else -- making my decision based on reviews and the percentage of 4 and 5 star ratings. I stumbled across this coffee and thought "why not?" It gets good reviews except for a few sour apples that are always present on any product. So I went ahead and ordered it, feeling that at this price there was little to lose and with the great reviews there might be a lot to gain. I'm glad I ordered this coffee because finally I'm satisfied with my stock of Colombian Supremo. I had bought several bags of Colombian Supremo and then moved on without reordering any of them. I'll be ordering this one again. It's always possible that I got a particularly good bag, that someone else didn't get a good bag, or that any single bag of beans isn't representative of a brand. One needs to bear such things in mind when ordering coffee beans online. It's not like you can taste the coffee before buying it. Still, none of the others I've tried in the last couple years was as good to my taste as this one so I'll try this one again. Another thing to keep in mind is that flavor is not an absolute. There are individual variances in the taste experience so what appeals to me may not appeal to others and vice-verse. I find this brand from the bag I got to be very full bodied and smooth with no bite and no bitterness. It's what I'm looking for in a Colombian Supremo and that is a very happy discovery. Especially being as it's significantly cheaper than other coffees that don't taste as well to me. Rather than write another review, if my experience with this brand changes for the worse I'll come back here and amend this one. If you don't see a dated update below then what I have to say about this coffee still stands. Update 17 March 2015: I noticed my stock of this coffee was running a little low, it's been six months since I bought this bag so I thought maybe some people would like to know how it stores and tastes after that amount of time. Bear in mind that I store all my coffees in air tight opaque containers, that's important if you're going to keep several varieties of coffee on hand and not use up any one variety quickly. I also store my coffees, pipe tobacco and cigars in a temperature and humidity controlled environment That probably isn't a big issue with air tight containers, I just have room for my coffees where I store my tobaccos. I know the "freshly roasted" snobs are going to turn their noses up so if you're one of them, go ahead and stop reading right now. I don't care what you have to say because taste is more important than theory to me. I know what tastes good to me, I won't benefit from anyone telling me that what I like I can't possibly like because blah, blah, blah. This coffee has stored extremely well. It has gotten even smoother and more mellow with storage but is still as bold as when I first opened the bag and dumped it in a container. This may be why some folks say a new bag doesn't taste like the one they got before, if the coffee has had time to mature between when the bag was first opened and when the new, freshly roasted bag was opened then there's going to be a difference in taste. I have enough of the first bag left that the bag I'm having delivered today will sit in it's air tight container for a while; but just to experiment I'll brew a pot with beans from the new bag when it comes to see if there's a difference. I'll try to come back and update this review when I've had time to evaluate the new bag of whole beans. So far I'm very pleased with this coffee and it's the only Columbian Supremo that I've ordered more than once from Amazon. If the new bag is as good as the first one I'm probably done searching for Supremo. If not, I'll let everyone know.

Sorry Amazon!
100% Colombian Supremo Coffee, 5 Lb. Bag, Whole Bean, Fresh Roasted Coffee... After ordering and receiving 2 bags previously, I picked up my third bag this afternoon. What a disappointment! The previous orders were very fresh. The beans had a nice light oily sheen and were so aromatic that when I opened the Amazon locker I was hit with a nice blast of "Fresh Roasted" smell. (And this is with the coffee sealed in the shipping box!) I was a very happy customer. But not this time. The order I received today was stale, old and dried out. It had obviously been sitting around a warehouse for some time. After looking around at other reviews, it seems that this problem is not limited to Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC; who I really don't blame. I see reviews saying the same thing for other brands, including a company well-known for shipping within 72 hours of roasting. I suppose i could threaten to go order directly from the roasters but the shipping charges really do add up and... DANG IT! this is one of the reasons I signed up (and spent good money) for Amazon Prime. Come on Amazon, tighten up and do what you need to. Order smaller lots more frequently? Remind the warehouse folks to rotate stock? Only bust open one pallet at a time? Whatever! I suppose I will give it another shot in the future, but I really don't like feeling that I am "rolling the dice" on what I will receive. Best wishes Doc

Over-roasted coffee
Read al lot of positive comments, decided to try. Ordered 3 different packages. However coffee doesnโt meet the expectations. Coffee should be light to medium roast but in the package it is strong roast, which nobody likes at home. I will continue buying my local brand, where the roast intensity is stable. Had so much hopes for this coffee and it turned into completely waist of money.
