Pyle PLMCA20 on a '03 Sportster
These speakers sound amazing even at 55 MPH. They were a little larger than I expected, but the kit was the right price. The speakers are chrome plated plastic and come complete with the handle bar/fork brackets pre-attached. If you are planning on mounting them elsewhere the speakers will either need to be disassembled or the cable must be cut to remove the existing brackets (the rca connectors are too big to fit through the hole in the bracket!) I ended up temporarily mounting them on my wind screen bracket (with a few mods to the mounting bolts/brackets on the speakers) and threw the amp in a saddle bag for now. Had it on the bike for a week and am loving it. I plan on permanently mounting the amp somewhere on the bike in the future (as soon as I figure out a good spot). Great product for an excellent price.Update: After having this on my bike for almost two years, I still am pleased with it. However there is one caveat: The speakers may be weatherproof, but the amp is not. Due to where I mounted the amp on my bike, it got soaked riding in the rain. As a result, the amp shorted out temporarily and fried the voice coil on one of the speakers. I was able to find a replacement speaker on amazon that would fit in the housing to repair it, and after letting the amp dry out for a couple of days it went back to working normally. Now whenever it is raining, I unplug the power going to the amp.

These Are OK But Could Do Better
Positives:Installation is easy, speakers are indeed waterproof having been through downpours, speakers are loud enough for me but can be difficult to hear at highway speeds.Negatives:Speakers are a bit gaudy being so large, brackets look big and stupid, music is tinny. Other Pyle speakers are smaller and have smaller brackets that look good.I'd recommend buying a separate 3.5mm audio cable before installation since it sucks having to take everything apart to run a new audio cable. In general, 3.5mm audio cables are notorious for not working well after a short period of time, and the one included with this kit is no different. After a month or so, the right speaker wouldn't always work. I'd have to bump the cable around to get sound out of the right speaker at times. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it only worked for a minute or so before it went out again, and sometimes I couldn't get the darn thing to work at all for the duration of the ride. I've since bought a quality 3.5mm audio cable from Radio Shack for about $20, and it's worked flawlessly. Quality audio cables can be found on Amazon, of course, but I didn't want to wait for the new cable to be shipped.*** Update ***One other big negative is that the paint on these plastic speakers doesn't hold up long. After a few weeks with rain, the chrome paint came off from much of the speakers leaving multi-colored ugliness. I get compliments on how my bike looks, but when they see the speakers, it's ugh. I'll buy different speakers when I'm ready to splurge. I'm downgrading this from 3 stars to 1 star given that appearance is important.

These are great for the price.
The sound is only as good as the quality of the music you are listening to of course. On high end mp3s the sound is pretty good. Install took all of about an hour. If you have a busy control set like I do (VN750) it's a little tricky. I installed the amp and switch in the tool box behind the seat and ran the wiring under the seat to the bars. I can still hear these pretty clear at 55 mph which is my typical cruise speed going from place to place. The best way to get good quality sound out of these is to set the level at about half and let your phone or player control the volume the rest of the way. There are also 3 settings on the amp high pass, low pass and all so if you have room for a sub these make a great set of tweeters for the high mid. If the tunes are filled with bass (rap, techno, dubstep) there is a fair amount of distortion but for rock, jazz and easy listening these are perfect. Typically I listen to Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Benjamin, Killswitch Engage....... that sort of driving metal and these hold up good. For 50 bucks and easy install these are a quick fix for anyone wanting to listen to music and not want helmet based sound.

get what you pay for
it was really easy to mount and install. the speakers sound pretty good when it's not all the way up. when it is all the way up the bass is very distorted. if you have a ipod or mp3 that you can adjust the equalizer then that will help out alot to make it sound very good- either bass reducer or treble booster. the remote switch connection is a little loose and if it gets wet it will short causing the system to be on when the button says off. when it's dry it works good. overall i'm happy with it and it works good. i don't have a windshield and it's a little hard to hear with the wind at 60mph-especially with a full face helmet on. i suggest getting the next one up that is 200watt amp for 20 bucks more

Amp stopped working 1st day. Good thing for excellent Amazon support
Ordered these to hookup to my polaris ATV.The Good:Install was fairly straight forward although you do have to use the rubber spacers to get the brackets to work on the small handlebars. For the brief time they worked, sound quality was very good. If you get a bluetooth plugin for the AUX port you can have your source Audio wireless which is pretty cool. The Bad:After only about 30 Minutes of use the Amplifier stopped working.Amazon customer service is awesome. The Pyle customer service team kept hanging up with me or transfering me and took 10-15 minutes to even talk to someone. Amazon is next daying me a replacement with no cost return shipping.Hopefully the new amp solves the issue.. We will see! Overall. Speakers sound great.. Amp was awful, and thank god for amazon as a middleman.
