GullorGolden Dragon Red Crystal Eyes Fountain Pen with Push in Style Ink Converter

This pen's unique design,coupled with its performance, I feel certain, is unmatched by few writing instruments. First, it performs superbly, as well or better than any graphic instrument I've ever owned. Most of my previously purchased pens' prices far exceeded the cost of this pen. Too, its appearance is strikingly original. The exterior is beautifully crafted and unlike any I've seen.The immediate first impression comes from the pen's size and weight. For me heft and appearance in a writing instrument are a must and the Golden Dragon exemplifies both. It's unique, wonderful to use and priced at an unbelievably reasonable price. The Dragon's exterior is unorthodox and non-traditional. It probably doesn't appeal to everyone. For some, I'm certain, the pen evokes the descriptive adjective "gaudy." However, for me this isn't the case. I admire the pen's look, especially its somewhat non-traditional appearance. My wife was taken somewhat aback by the outer surface's shaft design. It is upon this surface the pocket clip is anchored. The first day I used my pen several students noticed it in my pocket. Without exception it received admiring evaluations, accompanied by no small-amount of interest. The latter was mostly the result of the imbedded, glowing-red eyes (powered not from batteries) rather from an vailable light flowing through the dragon's head which is affixed atop the "fire-breathing" pocket clip. I'm unsure what the pen's exterior is made of, probably metal with a thin plastic-like, translucent covering, though it doesn't look inexpensive. Some will find the Jinhao pen unappealing and less than attractive. For me, personally, this can't be further from the truth. Serious consideration must be accompanied by the adage "beauty lies in the eye of the beholder." Considering the Jinnha's superb performance, appearance, cost, highlights and overall exterior, I consider it outstanding and within a class of itts own. Am I pleased and satisfied? Yes. For me this pen has great appeal, not only as a collector's item but as a working writing instrument. And it has character. I use it to accomplish tasks pens are intended to do: mainly serve as a writing instrument. It, along with other Chinese manufactured pens, offer wonderful opportunities to easily acquire quality writing instruments at a reasonable cost. I do not wish to come across as a rabid promoter. However, if writing instruments appeal to you, get this one. The Dragon writes superbly, while tagged at an extarordinarily reasonable price. And topping it off is its uniqueness. With care it will last forever. The pen is well-balanced, weighty (a plus) and its ink supply is replenished through a barrell-filler-plunger. Its uniqueness is striking. It does not come with a case and that is the only criticism I can levy.

I have to write a lot at my job by hand. Remember college finals where you would have your hand aching by the second essay question. You would write a lot of stuff but your handwriting would become increasingly illegible, and honestly you were just repeating yourself over and over again. That's my job everyday so I looked into a way I could write without my hand dropping off my body at the end of the day. Fountain pens glide effortlessly over paper and it's more like painting than writing. This pen specifically is my favorite. I don't use the cartridges in this one. I use the plunger thing that sucks up ink and the plunger holds plenty ink so that I don't have to refill multiple times a day. Although, when I do refill I get the pleasure of yelling "it's time to feed the dragon!". The writing is equivalent to that produced by medium gel pens and I have had no issues with leaking. The ink goes on paper easily and there is no stutter or clogging. The pen actually is heavy and seemingly is well made. Plus it's flashy and will make everybody think you're an edge lord. I honestly do like this pen and for the price it's a good chance to see if you like fountain pens too.

This pen is beautiful. I actually took it to a festival where I impressed several people with its appearance. Nib seems to write fairly smooth, but the feed seems to dry out rather quickly, and hard starts can occur if you leave it lying down for a while. Also, the pen does not come in the presentation box shown in the image, which I was really looking forward to, as I currently do not have a protective hard case for my pens.Update: recently the plastic inner ring of the cap came loose, making the pen temporarily unusable. However, a little super glue should fix this issue.

This is my first Fountain Pen. It is beautiful and writes well. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend the pen. It is heavy and off balance when you put the cap on when writing. Beings this is my first fountain pen i have noticed a couple issues which might not be me and not the pen but I figure I would tell about them. It took me a while to get the ink flowing at first but I got it eventually. The included converter doesn't seem very nice but i have no reference and use cartridges anyways. I have had several instances of skipping but that was only at first and hasn't happened for a while. Also when writing there are dark and light spots. As stated the issues might be with me but there it is, I still love the pen.

This is a fun and inexpensive 'Year of the Dragon' pen. Love it and works great.

For the price this is an amazing fountain pen. It looks expensive, it writes smoothly and almost any ink fits it. Comes with adapter for bottled ink which I found quite useful and versatile. Its a conversation starter and it flows smoothly on the paper. The rubber grip is just in the right spot. The pen is hefty and metal framed. I prefer heavier pens so this is a perfect product for me. It might be too heavy for some but even with its weight it feels delicate and intricate.

Very nice to look at, exactly like the pictures. But the ink does not flow, so useless for writing. If you want an inexpensive showpiece, then this might work, but if you want to use it to write or sign documents (my reason for buying), then this is junk. Don't waste your money.

Nice looking, but cap doesn't fit on top of body of pen. It would be nice to if it did, gives more balance and weight when using pen and prevents having to remember where you left the cap.

Quede enamorado del diseño, es súper impactante a la vista sumamente elegante su contraste blanco y dorado combinan a la perfección en su funcionamiento realmente escribes tan suave como la seda, de verdad que te deja con la boca abierta, tiene un peso equilibrado su plumín es realmente precioso no corre la tinta, se desliza perfectamente brinda un derrame de tinta perfecto, la verdad que no me arrepiento de comprarla, recomiendo que la usen con tintas distintas a la negra y azul, para que impacte mucho mas, la recomiendo ampliamente en todos los sentido no se van arrepentir ya es de mis favoritas en mi colección y el precio esta perfecto no le pide nada a las de marca muy caras.
