Awesome Pen! Better than all the rest!
I love these pens - they glide over the paper and the ink distribution is nice and smooth, just like it says on the packaging! The Pilot G2 Retractable Premium Gel Ink Roller Ball Pen's Dynamic Gel Ink Formula is smooth writing and smear-proof. You would think all pens are equal, but I disagree. I have to work harder to write with a ballpoint pen, and other brands of gel pens. This one is by far the best I have used. The ink distribution is awesome - no skips or dark/light spots like with some other gel pens I have used. And it even has a contoured comfort grip, that is really soft and very comfortable in the hand. What is really cool about this pen is that it is refillable!!! Total bonus, so you don't have to keep paying for the plastic over and over again. Very satisfied with these pens and will buy them again for sure!

“Great Pens – highly recommended!”
I’m a designer and somewhat picky about my writing and drawing pens. I am very, very happy that I tried the Pilot G2 – this is a reasonably priced, great quality pen. The gel ink flows smoothly and evenly and dries very quickly, so no smudging. On paper, the pen line looks solid, crisp, and consistent - even on a paper that has a little texture. The pen is well made, not cheap plastic, and I like that it's clear plastic so you can see if the ink is running low. I bought the black pens, and I will definitely try some of the colored pens as well. I’m really pleased with these and plan to order more black pens so that I have a supply on hand. Try them – you will definitely be happy. Thanks, Pilot - it's a great product !!

Pretty Good Pens
These pens are pretty good pens. I have been using Z-grip from Zebra 1.0mm (ball point) and thought I'd try out the Pilots. Immediately, I noticed that the Pilot pen event though it has a finer point size (0.7), the ink is much darker and fluid on the paper than the Z-grips. I've also been using a favorite Parker pen, and the Pilot pens aren't quite to that level. I prefer a 1.0mm bold point, but there's almost a little give or snag when I press down the Pilot pen to the paper and write compared to when I use the nicer Parker pen. That said, the Pilots are good pens for the price. I probably should have selected the 1.0mm since, but the 0.7mm have helped me see which size I like better. I'll probably go for a larger pack next time.

my favorite pens
Basically these are good pens. I actually use two of the ball sizes (0.7 mm (fine point) and the 1.0 mm (bold point)). Pilot also offers a 0.5 mm (ultra-fine tip), but that feels like writing with a nail; it is just too thin for my preference. I like mainly black, but for different purposes I use red, blue, and green, too. The two bad things about these pens (any of the sizes, but especially the bold ones): first, the gel ink is not as smudge-proof as an ordinary ball point pen, but they write using less effort, and do not tend to dry out like the old-style ones are notorious for doing. Secondly, since the whole pen barrel and clip structure is made of plastic, the clips get fatigued after a while and break off. They pretty much do not sell just the refills anymore, but with the weak link of those clips breaking off, it is probably just as well.

A great pen at a great price, for day to day use.
I am buying these things and refills pretty much on a continual basis, I also use and give Pilot Dr. Grips Gel, which most of them use the same refill. .I give out the Dr. Grip's to most people I deal with. This year I am giving a new roller the DR. Grip Black, which is a sleeker but still very comfortable all black pen and matching mechanical pencil. I do a lot of sketching, doodles and designs and have found for daily use these are great, the refills are economical and for most part the quality control gives an consistent product time after time. These are my go to pen, I keep a stock a fair amount of refills and always keep some new pens, and there are larger volume purchases make this a low cost gel pen for any business. I also use Pilot V5 and V7 in certain situations and have used them for many years.

Gel ink pens are the best
The Pilot G2 retractable gel ink pen is my favorite for taking notes, writing news articles, correcting papers, teaching, and just about anything else you would want. The rubber grip is what makes it, allowing you to write for hours without chafing or bruising your fingers on the hard surface of most other writing implements. The gel ink (in a replaceable cartridge) is solid, clear, long-lasting, and rarely fails to leave a mark even on glossy paper surfaces. Unlike ball point pens, this pen has a substantial feeling to it and rarely fails. It is available in different colors and sizes. Overall, it's my favorite ink pen for daily use.

Gliding Pen
I love the pilot G-2 pens. Good for everyday writing. It's a well-priced pen for its quality and writes well, and it’s very versatile. Nicely shaped grip that extends far enough down to the tip that I can get a good hold of the pen. I rarely have problems with scratchiness or skips, unlike with other pens. This is super nice ink though - intense, black that flows well but isn't too wet so it can be used for anything you’re doing - work-related or for fun! It is better that my expectations to begin with, even though it does not have a ball point tip it writes extremely smooth. I recommend this product to those picky pen user and anyone else.

These pens write smooth with minimal smearing (all gel pens have some smear is you don't let them dry properly). Highly recommended!
