I am going on a backpacking trip and I was looking for a more compact and ultralite option to shaving cream and brush. This fits the needs of my light beard. Wetting my face and applying a couple drops to my cheek allowed me to very closely shave that area and rinse clean with a bit of soap. If you have dry skin you would likely be ok to just leave it on since it's a pretty lite oil. I'm not sure about the container though, since that packaging and Ziploc bag it was inside of were pretty oily when it arrived. It will stay inside a ziplock bag when it is in my backpack.

I have been using this product for several years. It is better than shaving cream, because you can see your face, while shaving, and it is not messy like shaving cream as there is no lather to drip all over.

I have to say that in my near 40 years of shaving, this oil has given me the closest shave with my electric razor.I have a Pansonic 5 bladed electric razor and I shave over the sink (no longer in the shower).I've used other oils, Lectric Shave pre-shave, shaving powder sticks and even plain body soap (for when I used to shave in the shower) but this stuff really works. I didn't want to believe the reviews but it's true.I inherited by dad's facial hair (grows really close to the skin, not sticking out at all with the occasional ingrown hair). This oil really seemed to allow the blades to cut my facial hair as close as possible without irritating my skin at all. I used a total of about 5 drops to shave my facial hair. I rub it in as thoroughly as possible and wait a minute before shaving. It took about a week (3 shaves total) to get the hang of it, but I get the most amazing shaves and my skin is soft and smooth.The oil itself is not totally scent free. You can smell just a hint of the tee tree oil but I shower after I shave so there is no scent on my face at all (which I really prefer). My skin doesn't feel irritated afterward and cleanup of the razor is pretty quick (although I have to be a little more thorough since I'm getting more hair and I use very little oil, it seems to clump/stick underneath the outer foil more; but not much more than Lectric shave). I've also noticed my razor head doesn't smell as much (if at all) the next day. It cleans up really well.I found it by accident and thought I'd give it a try and I'm glad I did. Next time I'll order the 30 ml advanced oil since I use a little more oil on my face than recommended. If you're not getting a close shave with your electric razor, don't hesitate to try this product. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised once you get used to using it. It is a little pricey for the amount you receive but well worth it. For 50% more, you can get the advanced version that is double the size of this version and that should last me for about 9/10 months with my current shaving regiment.I highly recommend this product for shaving.....

I have used Kings Oil for many years and I love it! A few drops massaged into my beard right before adding shave gel makes for a very smooth shave. I have seen the complaints about "clogging of the razor". I have not experienced this at all. You just need to rinse well.

I bought this bottle a few years ago but never really tried it until recently. I have been using it for the past few shaves and really like it. I don’t wash my face first like the directions suggest but I do wet my face with hot water, put a few drops in my hand and mix it with both hands. Apply it to my face and shave.My double edged razor seems to glide right over it. I can easily shave around my goatee since there is no foam in the way and to me it doesn’t have any fantastic scent but that could be because my bottle hasn’t been used for a few years.

I love King of Shaves shave oil and have been using it for several years. However, the oil in the twin pack I received seems very thin and did not lubricate my beard at all well. I just tried another shipment (this time in spray pump bottles) and the oil was far more lubricating, had more of an odor, and just worked far better.

I purchased this product years ago on a trip to London when I forgot to take shaving cream. I fell in love with it immediately. It softens the beard rapidly with just a few drops of use. The small bottle lasts for months. It does take up much space and packs compactly in a carry-on bag. I am delighted that Amazon carries this product.

I have used King of Shaves Shaving Oil for many years. I would hate to have to go back to regular shaving cream again. My order came on time. When I need to order again, I will order from this company.
