Smoked Provolone Style Slices, 7.05 OZ

This tastes really good. I purchased this not knowing it was non dairy. lol. It tastes like real smoked provolone. Really good smoky cheese taste. Would be good in a Mac and Cheese or on a sandwich.

For the past few years I have been moving closer to vegetarian and my doctor wants me to divorce dairy. I watched some reviews and taste tests before deciding on this VIOlife sliced Provolone for my maiden voyage. The cheese was so good, I ate some of it straight out of the package. It was fantastic on my vegan turkey lunch meat, vegan cheese, vegan mayo, sprouts, tomato, and pickles. I enjoyed it so much I don't see myself going back to dairy cheese. The other products were just as good! I am excited about exploring other possibilities.

Has a definite flavor, not just another generic ’cheese’ taste. It’s very similar to what I remember dairy provolone tasting like. It does have the same texture as other plant based sliced ‘cheese’. I bought it to use in a lasagna, it did not melt much or brown at all but it did add a nice amount of flavor. It worked better as a texture when layered in the lasagna opposed to laying on top to brown . I plan to continue using in baked pasta dishes. Melts just enough for a grilled cheese sandwich if you like your bread very toasty. Does not stretch and melt like actual cheese.

The only flavor and brand of vegan cheese that doesn’t have a weird after taste. Smells exactly like provolone cheese and it’s worth the money in my opinion. It even melts just like cheese too which is awesome.
