Taste like real cheese and makes a great grill cheese

This "cheese" was good at first, but I have to keep going back to dairy cheese. Initially it tastes good like cheddar, but something is missing...

So, when we first got into finding cheese that wasn't animal-based it was torture. I cannot tell you how many brands, styles, flavors and what have you that we wasted our money on! This cheese is not cheddar. I have to tell you this - but it is totally a great cheddar/muenster mix! This has a solid feel and texture to it. It is nothing like that awful American cheese texture that flops around and all sticky. NO! This stuff is so much better! It melts decently (for veggie cheese) and I personally just take a piece out of the package and eat it as a snack once a day. (although it does a pretty nice job in a grilled cheese) Mind you, it doesn't melt that well on foods, more like it gets softer but never truly melts unless you melt it in a pan or oven over the food. (so stick to grilled cheese for the best way or steam it to get that perfect melt). Enjoy!

This was my first time trying this brand. I've had several other brands so I wanted to do some comparison. I enjoyed the full cheese flavor but the only thing I was surprised about was just how firm each slice was. It was like cutting a slice from a firm block of cheese vs the softer slices you normally find in pre-sliced cheeses. It didn't alter the good flavor at all but just surprised me. The ingredients are top notch so its a healthy plant cheese and I like it. It made a delicious grilled cheese sandwich & I also diced it up to add to scrambled eggs. I also laid it on top of some veggies & melted it in the oven. Great flavor.
