the rug began to shed what looks like paper fibers
This item was listed amoung the outdoor rugs and that was the purpose of my purchase. But, after a couple of months of rain and sun, the rug began to shed what looks like paper fibers. It is all over my deck and splattered upon the legs of my wicker furniture. The rug is listed as jute and when I received it, it looked like just what i wanted. It is now faded to a light sand color. For the money I paid for it, i would expect it to hold up much better than it did. I have seen jute rope that lasted much better in a similar environment.

Color does not match description
As you can see from the pics, these rugs were woven using a green yard fiber which altered the color. It was also yarn, so really a mix of jute and other fibers not jute only. You can see there were a number of defects as well which seemed like quite a bit for the price ($76 each). Since we are using outdoors, we're keeping anyway. I will post updates later as to how long they last etc. We ordered two 5x8 rugs which you can see in last pic was perfect to accomodate a bistro set on one side of the porch and two rockers on the other side.

This rug has had a quarter of the beating and looks like it's been through a war
I purchased this rug in February. In short order the weave was coming apart. Now, almost a year later and I constantly have to tuck the loose ends back into the weave. I had a jute rug from west elm that lasted through 3 years of construction, 2 cats and a puppy. This rug has had a quarter of the beating and looks like it's been through a war. I wouldn't buy ever again.

Tuffs Too
I'll add that mine too is developing tuffs in the weave. It is a year old but in the ohana where it had little traffic. I broke my heels so for 2 months I drove my wheelchair over it on the way to the exercise machine. Might contribute to the problem. Nice rug, good foot to walk on but is not as durable as one would like in a rug.

... am giving this any stars is because it looks good. It's beautiful
The only reason I am giving this any stars is because it looks good. It's beautiful, but the off-gassing is unbearable. It stinks!!! I have to put it outside. Hoping that a week outside will take care of the smell. If not, it's going back.

I put this rug in my dining room and because The color is variegated it does not show dirt or crumbs. It's very soft and can be walked on bare footed.

Great quality, fair price
This rug is a terrific quality with a chic wide weave and mercifully without banding. Very fair pricing.
