Exactly what I needed
Took the brace to my orthopedic doctor who fitted it to my leg. It has snaps like a seat belt so I don't have to mess with the velcro and it provides the weight bearing so my knee doesn't suffer so much when I walk.

Help me make it thru Europe
My knee has become very painful in the past month and I had a vacation planned for Europe, wher I knew I would be doing lots of walking. My problem is medial knee ( near "bone on bone"). The instructions aren't that great but you should be able to figure it out. The wrap to minimize the brace slipping is beneficial but the instructions aren't clear on how to use it. The finger pull is detachable from the wrap so you can apply the wrap either clockwise or counter clockwise around your calf. Then put the brace in place tighten each strap as you put it on. The clips are a bit cheap but seem to hold up so far. In my case I found using my slip-on elastic knee sleeve & the provided wrap then the knee brace over both that it provided me a bit more comfort for a day of walking and helped keep the brace in place. Without using the wrap ( or in my case the wrap & slip-on sleeve) the brace would not stay in place and would slide down as I walked. So summary I got this brace at a sub-$100 price so it was worth it, there may be others to compare if the price is higher.

Product quality could be better, but still works
The product quality could be improved. after a month of use, when I tried to tighten the belt the clip broke. The product came with a spare clip, so I replace the broken one. Now I am careful while tying the strap and don't want to break another one. The product provides good support to my knee and easy to use.

as they don’t lay across the brace like the 2 outside straps
Works well, but there is a design flaw in the 2 inside clips. The tension created by the straps can create a torque on the plastic clips and, as they don’t lay across the brace like the 2 outside straps, will crack/break over time.

Maybe 3 and 1/2, it helps, but
They clips are so hard to open and close, I just Velcro and un-velcro them. The clip/strap on thigh, lower closer to knee, keeps moving downward and will not stay on padding. It doesn’t bother me to much, but would be nice if it didn’t slip/move. For me, the top thigh clips move downward. If you don’t get the positioning right, you will feel it right away. Directions that come with it are not super clear, büxt you can figure things out. It is mostly about the parts that come with it to make adjustments. Again it does help, or at least helped my knee.
