Hooked it up in 60 seconds.
Simple and works like it's supposed to. Used it to power a 3A 12V diaphragm pump, hooked up to a 3A 12V wall adapter for LED's. Powered on, pumped water great, the speed control worked flawlessly.I wish it came with the wiring diagram in the box but... I mean, the picture on the Amazon page is easy enough to follow.

I saved myself $70 with this replacement.
The fan in my Dickenson Diesel Heater needed replacing as the stem of the control knob had snapped off. Replacement OEM was over eighty bucks with shipping and this little device was less than nine. The original had only three speeds whereas this is infinitely variable from, zero to full power. The zero point clicks completely off.The original was more strongly constructed with a metal body, whereas this is made mostly of plastic with a metal stem; however, the device doesn't really come under much stress, so it's not a major consideration. Of course the upside is that I have far greater control of the fan so I can dial it in perfectly. The lower power settings can be employed as a damper in those situations when the wind isn't co-operating and there is the occasional downdraft. A three-speed fan is next to useless in this situation. The wiring was a breeze thanks to a very detailed account by one of the reviewers, Ryan Shumaker. Thanks Ryan! The operation of the controller feels silky smooth without any play whatsoever, which surprised me given its price.Only time will tell if this was a wise purchase but at ten percent of the replacement cost of the original and given its superior performance, I think it's only a tiny gamble.

Worked great until it died after 5 min. of use.
I should have read more of the reviews before purchasing. The thing was pretty straight forward to install. It ran great controlling a 12v 80w transmission cooler fan for about 5 min. and then died. the housing was super hot. The fins weren't hot at all. I pulled the cover unit and tapped a few of the components and the thing would work sporadically until it stopped working altogether. Buyer beware.

Good control to save amps of battery power
I use this controller for a 275-cfm blower that would normally eat over 4 amps from a 12-volt battery. At lower speeds, the blower takes less amperage and is quiet - compared to full blast. I don't even need full blast, so the controller was needed. Using this to move air up through the house as kind of an attic fan - the controller can dial in the air movement. Since I am running the blower on a solar energy setup, saving a little amperage, not needing lots of air, the controller fits right in. The price is also right so this is a recommend.

Easy to Install Does the Job
Tried all the guidance online but still the AC/heater blower wouldn't work. Installed this to get heat/ac blower going. Teenager doesn't mind driving the pickup now.

High pitch screech
Works as it should and great for the price. It does give off a constant high pitch screech at 0-50% speed.
