This worked great on an 06 jetta. No complaints. Used a matco radiator pressure tester if that matters.

I bought this thinking it would fit my 1998 Jetta. It does not. Too big for the older VW tanks. It does fit my 2006 Jetta TDI so I accidentally bought something I needed.

As an Audi tech this was a must buy item, great price, excellent performance, really easy to use and create a perfect seal.

If you have a VW, this is likely the only type that will work for you. I tried Harbor Freight's Maddox accessory add-on pack which uses pressure to keep the top sealed but it would loose seal in a few seconds as soon as it had more than a few pounds of pressure. This adapter is designed for VW and fits perfect (2015 Passat).

I had previosly purchased a Harbor Freight kit for testing cooling systems. The designated adapter for Volkswagen was not a good fit and allowed pressure to slowly bleed off. Not good when trying to test for leakage. This Assenmacher adapter fit perfectly. I was hoping my kit had an adapter to seal off the Assenmacher tool. Indeed, it does, but a little fragile in use. With care, I have a working system. The Assenmacher tool is quality construction and will last many years. I did my first test with it and found my leak right away. Used it again to confirm the repair and held pressure for 10 minutes without any loss.
