Necoichi Ceramic Extra-Wide Elevated Cat Food Bowl (Cat, Extra Wide)

I bought these wide-rim, elevated cat bowls so my cats can eat more comfortably without their whiskers rubbing against the sides, and they’ve been a great upgrade. The wide shape really helps with whisker fatigue, and the elevated height feels more natural for them when they’re eating. They’re ceramic and feel sturdy and good quality. I like the black and white design it has too. I also like that they come with a silicone non-slip piece you can attach to the bottom, it helps keep the bowls from sliding around and makes me feel better about them being on hard floors. I did see a review mentioning that their bowls cracked, and I’m not sure if that’s from putting them in the dishwasher. These are labeled dishwasher safe, but I personally hand wash mine, and I’ve had zero issues with cracking over the last few months. Overall, I’m really happy with them and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for comfortable, whisker-friendly bowls.

Update 1/31/20: Just purchased my second wide dish. It works so well for my kitty with kidney disease that I purchased a second for my kitty who often throws up her food after eating. The dishes are sturdy ceramic and I feel better knowing the glaze is non-toxic. Anyone who has cared for a cat with kidney disease knows they can suffer multiple symptoms like extreme thirst leading to frequent urinating (it becomes odorless as well,) muscle loss and weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth ulcers, and weight loss often due to decreased appetite. It's the decreased appetite and weight loss that hastens decline and typically the first sign the owner detects something is wrong. By this time, kitty is in serious trouble. They must eat regularly and have fresh water at all times. I read an article that suggested some cats experiencing nausea or sour stomach, have an easier time eating when their head is elevated higher than their stomach eliminating food backflow and the feeling of queasiness. The ones I found in the stores were too high and marketed for dogs. Ideally, I needed one that was 3 inches in height. I also needed one that was shallow and wide like a flat plate to avoid whisker fatigue. When cats stick their face into a deep bowl they get stressed because their whiskers are touching the sides of the dish. This can discourage them from eating. The Necoichi Extra Wide Raised Cat Food dish is the only one that came closest to the height I needed. It measures 4 inches high whereas the other similar dish brands were 5 inches or more. Necoichi, please make a 3 inch height with the extra wide plate for petite cats! I need 5 more 😊 Despite the 4 inch height, my kitty took to the dish and devoured her food. I feed wet food and since the dish has a small lip around the edge, the food did not spill over the side. Also, this dish is easy to clean and free of lead and cadmium, both known toxins. I highly recommend this feeding dish whether or not your cat is ill, unless they are unable to stand. I wish I had found it sooner. I will be purchasing more!

We got this raised cat food bowl for our cat, and it’s been perfect. She used to make a bit of a mess with her old bowl, but this one keeps everything a lot neater. The height seems just right for her, and I’ve noticed she’s eating more comfortably without crouching down as much. The design is really nice too. It’s sturdy, has a bit of weight to it so it doesn’t slide around, and it’s easy to clean. We’ve put it in the dishwasher a few times and it’s held up perfectly. It also looks great sitting out, not like a cheap plastic bowl. Our cat seems to love it she’s eating more slowly and doesn’t seem to get as much food on the floor. I can see why they say it helps with whisker and neck fatigue. It’s definitely a small upgrade that made a big difference for her (and for us). One small problem is that it can get a bit slippery if you hand wash it and it's covered in dish soap.

I noticed my cat was getting hiccups after almost every meal. I looked around online and read that it could be due to the position he's in when he eats. He's a tall cat so when his food bowl was on the ground, he really had to be in an awkward position to eat. Since switching to this bowl, I have not heard or seen him have anymore hiccups after eating. It completely solved the hiccup problem. I looked at a lot of elevated food bowls, and this one seemed to be the best. It's wide and pretty flat, so his whiskers do not rub against the sides of the dish. The elevation is perfect. It's a little bit taller than some of the other elevated bowls I looked at. I not only highly recommend an elevated bowl for your cat, but I recommend this one specifically. It's nicely made and feels like it will last a long time. I like the addition of the little silicone ring at the bottom, but it does fall off pretty easily. It's not a problem for me since I put his bowl on a silicone mat anyway. The bowl does not move around while he eats.

I wish I thought about this for my cat years ago. What it does is it allowed your cat to eat with their neck not stretched all the way down to the ground, but at a higher elevation, which makes it easier for them to swallow. And we were having problems with our cat, sometimes choking a little bit and having to spit out food. But no longer with this easy switch. And it’s very attractive. It’s the perfect height for a cat and I couldn’t say enough nice things about it. It’s absolutely essential if your cat owner to feed your animal or cat at this extra height

I’m absolutely thrilled with these cat bowls. The quality is outstanding, made from high quality porcelain that feels durable, smooth, and solid. Also has an anti slip grip ring at the bottom. The design is simple but elegant, with that cute cat face detail at the bottom. The size is perfect, deep enough to hold food or water comfortably, yet shallow enough to prevent whisker fatigue. They are elevated at just the right height which makes eating much easier for my cats and helps with digestion. I love that they have an anti spill lip, it actually works. No more food sliding over the edge. They arrived incredibly fast, perfectly packaged, and exactly as described. The price is amazing for this level of quality. Dishwasher and microwave safe is a huge bonus, and I love that they are lead and cadmium free. If you are looking for beautiful, safe, and functional bowls that both you and your cats will love, get these. You will not regret it.

My cats love these food bowls, and they don't puke as often.

First time buying a bowl that doesn't sit on the floor. My cat had acne on her chin and I read about getting a bowl that sits up higher will curb that from happening. Well this bowl did that well, it didn't stop the problem but definitely improved the problem. Another reason I got this is I read that it might help with her vomiting. That didn't really pan out as she still vomits at anytime and anywhere, lol Anyway it seems like she enjoys sitting down and eating better than stooping low to eat. She seems more comfortable. Also when I go to feed her the bowl is not floor level, it's a little easier to reach down and serve her with this bowl. The bowl looks good if that matters to anyone and it is sooooo easy to clean. All and all it's an improvement over her last bowl. It looks good, is easy to clean and did help with her chin acne. So all in all I think it was a great purchase. Oh one more thing, the bowl is holding up extremely well. Had it for about two years and still looks like it did when I bought it!

Have a few of these. Cannot beat them for quality, sturdiness, and anatomical angle for your cat. These do not chip because they are porcelain, therefore no bacteria in any chip. Very much worth the price.

Very happy about this product, good quality, nice height to let my cat be easy to eat, a bit overpriced, but overall worth it.

Chi conosce i Sacri di Birmania come la mia sa quanto siano schizzinosi, e con questa ciotola noto un aumento dell’appetito. È la seconda che acquisto, poiché la prima maldestramente l’ho rotta. Si, il costo non è proprio indifferente, ma ne vale la pena. Può andar tranquillamente sia al microonde che in lavastoviglie.
