A perfect little clock "but"
It remains perfect little clock but I continue to have to edit my review.A few days ago I woke up and it was 2 hours ahead. Clearly it had connected with the server and the time I had set was reconfigured. Tulpa suggests setting it back 2 hours from the default to overcome this. It is something that seems to have caused confusion for other UK purchasers.Time Zone setting is poorly described in the manual but if you set it correctly then your troubles should be over. Well im hoping ive got it right and stand to be corrected. In the time setting mode it will firstly give you the choice of 12 or 24 hour clock . The next press is the Time Zone set to 00 as default. After the above event I set mine to -1. After connecting with the Frankfurt server it seems to have maintained GMT. Hopefully this is the end of my troubles until summertime arrives Sunday 28th March 2021.The above apart I can only say that its a really nice neat and compact clock with a set of features that suffice. The touch sensitive light feature is great as you dont want it light up the room or at least I dont. The alarm on off button on the top is simple to use and the digital display confirms your choice. Perfect for taking on hol with you as well. Just adjust your time zone correctly lol. The Frankfurt server has a 1500km range so keep that in mind.PS Looking at the back of the clock there's a tiny hole that's looks like a reset. Its not listed in the diagram and I cant find any explanation in the instructions. If you have difficulties with the clock it might be worth a try using a paperclip.I am impressed so far and hopefully that will remain the case.

This clock produces ZERO light pollution
The automatic time setting every night by radio signal works very good, in fact best performance I ever experienced (and I only purchase radio-controlled clocks).Usage is nice and quick. It is exactly the clock for the bed site, where you quickly enter when the alarm shall sound, and you grab it to look at the time (or date; so well, kind of interesting to see the temperature, can't hurt). But important to note that THIS version is "dark": you have to grab it to look at it, and at night the sensor button for the light is needed, otherwise you see *nothing*. For me this is an essential feature, since I am very disturbed by any light in the bed room (and I absolutely don't want to fight any kind of AI in my bedroom, deciding for me when there should be light or not -- I want it dark!). So if you are looking for a clock which you can read often, and from a distance, then you need to look for a variation (it seems by TFA Dostmann variations are offered, with brighter light etc). The only aspect which could be improved is that the light, when switched on, is very bright, or at least too bright for me. Would be great if one had control over that. But compared to the many such bed site alarm clocks I tried over the past two decades, this model is by far best, and thus nevertheless 5 starts.

Will auto-work in the UK but needs to be set up - display a bit weak but a clever inexpensive item
I bought this as a small side clock for the bathroom for use in the UK. I was concerned that past reviewers had indicated that the LCD display was weak and that the radio controlled automated time setting only worked in Germany. However, I also saw reviews saying that it would work in the UK, so I bought this and tried it out as the price was reasonable.I discovered the following:1. The radio controlled automated time WILL work in the UK (I am in London, England).2. The LCD display is weak from some angles but is acceptable - if you want a strong display then this is not for you.3. It will take about 5 minutes to set up the automated time source once you have put batteries into the clock for the first time.4. Reading the manual will help but it is not definitive so if you aren't patient you may give up.Getting started for the UK: Upon putting in batteries, I turned the clock around and pressed the "wake" button for 3 seconds. This forced the clock to search for the time source (flashing icon). I had to be patient and after about 5 minutes the date and time was AUTOMATICALLY set to Central European Time (i.e. UK time plus one hour).IMPORTANT: To set it to UK time, I pressed and held the "time" button on the front of the clock - the first item shown is "24H" mode, which I ignored and then I pressed the "time" button again which showed "00" - this is the "00 Default" time zone. Most importantly, I pressed the "minus" button so the display now showed "-1" (minus 1) instead of "00" (zero). I think I then pressed and held the "time" button again a few times. When the main clock display returned, it now showed the correct UK time (i.e. one hour earlier that the original setting). Voila! Just to be clear, the clock will automatically now work with UK time - no need to put it into a full "manual" mode. The only other odd thing is how the backlight works which was a bit confusing to me initially - seemed like magic. The light comes on if you touch your finger over the "symbol of a light bulb" - there is no button. i.e. Just pass your finger over the bulb "symbol" on the top of the clock.I will keep an eye on the clock and may update this review if I find any issues. It seems to be a very functional and inexpensive value for money clock. For the UK (non-CET) you just need to spend a few minutes setting it up to get the benefit of it keeping the right time for daylight savings. As long as you don't mind the mild LCD strength display then this clock is a good buy. However, if you want to place this clock more than a few metres away then it probably is not for you, nor is it for you if you just want to stick the batteries in and watch it go straight away.

COMPACT BUT BRILLIANT, ROBUST, AND RELIABLE
COMPACT BUT BRILLIANT AND ROBUST. THE BACK LIGHT ONLY COMES ON FOR A FEW SECONDS WHEN THE CLOCK IS LIGHTLY TOUCHED - GREAT IF YOU LIKE YOUR BEDROOM DARK. THE CLOCK'S AUTOMATIC TIMING IS FACTORY-SET AT "00" GIVING EUROPEAN TIME BUT CAN BE ALTERED VERY EASILY TO AN HOUR MINUS OR PLUS FOR WHEREVER YOU ARE (MAKE TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO WORK OUT HOW TO THIS THE FIRST TIME) SO GREAT FOR TRAVELLING TOO. GERMAN-MADE PRECISION, DESIGN AND INVENTIVENESS.

Clock
This clock is not fit for purpose. It is made in Germany 🇩🇪 consequently it defaults to German time. After 2 days I binned it.I urge everyone not to waste your money, unless you want to go to Germany.

Great little clock for home or travel.
Great little clock with a dim display. I hate any light in the bedroom at night and it's handy to just touch the top for the back light to come on. If you want an easy to read clock in the daytime this is not for you.[it is not as bright as illustrated]The alarm is loud enough louder than the Braun BNC009BK which I also purchased. To all those with time issues. When setting up let the wave function set it as per instructions. Then manually set the time, when you get to 00 time zone press + or - by how many hours out it was eg -01 this will keep the right time on the clock.Bit expensive for what it is.

HELP, see the review below>
I bought German as I thought it would be great quality, which it is, BUT I have to keep changing the time every 12 hours, as it keeps switching to European time! It's a pain in the butt! The reason I bought a radio controlled clock was so I wouldn't have to think about changing the time twice a year................ now I have to do it every blooming day. This may sound ridiculous but is it because it's German made?

So easy to set up and use alarm function.
Great instructions but setup very simple including time zone setting. Compact size, function buttons simple to use. Easy to read, uncluttered display. Completely dark unless light function used.

Only suitable for Germany
This is a clock which gets its time automatically and via a wireless signal. Potentially a nice looking functional alarm clock but unfortunately it will only work in Germany (CET , I think)and does not seem to have any means to offset to say GMT (I'm in Ireland). There is a manual method to set the time but no way to disable the wireless signal overriding it. So basically it's totally useless to me and as its only a few euro not worth returning, annoying and disappointing fail.

Funcional y a bajo precio. Excelente compra
