Gone so soon?
This cable lasted roughly a year before it started to drop connection. It was in an area that received zero foot traffic and was mounted on the baseboard, so I can only assume it died due to shoddy build.

This cable changed my life.
Long story short, i pay for the highest level of internet from COX that money can buy.But i had been using any old ethernet cable i could find to connect my computer to the router.Well it turns out if you have great internet service, but a crappy cable, you have crappy internet. After i installed this cable I went from about 3.2 seconds to load my yahoo home page to about 0.3 seconds. Pages dont load anymore, they are instantly summoned like a freakin monster from the depths of hell.Regardless of your internet service you pay for, buy this cable it WILL make a difference in your internet speed.Tips:If you want to tuck the cable under a baseboard buy the round one not the flat one, flat cable will come right out. Especially if you have cats that ruin everything.Make sure your buying the right length, they show meters and feet in the descriptions and 20 meters is not 20 feet.Update your LAN adapter with the latest drivers so you get the most out of this cable. (Google "how to update your LAN adapter drivers" if you dont know how)Cheers!

We have lift off
Bought a Tera Grand brand 50' white cable and it didnt work at all. It had no signal and was dead. So I bought the Vandesail 15m black column and plugged it in and it worked. Tested on 2 different gig routers, Asus and Verizons fios router, both connected to an ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO gig lan port and it worked with near 125 MB/s gig speeds over local lan file transfers with my PC lan adapter set to full duplex and 1 Gbs speed rate.A few times that I unplugged the cable and plugged it back in to my mainboard lan adapter I had to unplug it and plug it back in again before windows 7 x64 bit detects it. Might just be the adapter or hardware or software configuration or the router. This is the first CAT cable i used with this board so might just be the way the board detection works. Doesn't happen all time and other than that the Vandesail cable works and seems to work well.*** Update. The clip already broke off the connector with very little use after 2 months. With that issue and the issue that it seems to take longer to get a signal from my adapter with this cable makes the Rosewill brand of cat 7 cable from Newegg the only one I havent had any issues with. The Tera Grand and Vandesail that I purchased from amazon have not been as problem free for me as the less expensive Rosewill brand has been.

You get what you paid for
Look awesome as advertised. The material used feels like fexible plastic not heavy duty type.

I really like this cable
Connecting this from my router to my ethernet port (back of pc) speeds up my internet by 20mb/s give or take . I don't know very much about how they work but I know that it's faster.. I still need to connect the other half from my router to wall since it still uses an old cable.. Buying this again like now as this already speeds up my data transfer even though it's just from router to pc and half way..

Significant Speed Increase Over CAT 6
I have a 500Mbps download speed Internet service plan. With my old CAT 6 cable running from my router to my laptop, I was getting only 382Mbps speed. Tried various other CAT 6 cables but received the same similar slow download speeds when tested on my laptop. Replaced the old CAT 6 cable with Vandesail CAT 7 cable and I now consistently get around 482Mbps download speeds. 100Mbps difference! Ordered more of these cables. The other thing I like is the portable, flat-cable design which is a lot more manageable than with a round cable design.

All three choked signal
I bought three of these short cables. One bridged a 3-4" gap between face plates on two walls. The extra shielding seemed smart, as this cable ran next to old almost bare coaxial cable. Another connected my laptop with a desktop hub. The third one linked the router to that face plate in another room. I was pleased with the sturdy connectors & the flat shape & the reduction in unnecessarily long cables. And the white color matches so much in my office.Today the Cable Guy spent hours working with me to figure out why I was about two-thirds of the speed I'm paying for. Replaced the modem, and the much of the coaxial cable & connectors. Verified the signal strength *was* leaving the modem. Hooking various ethernet cables directly to the modem, we ran multiple speed tests. These 3 bridge cables delivered 10-15% of the speed that should have been possible. The 2 meter cable (same brand) I bought delivered almost 100%, as did an older lenght of CAT-7 and some CAT-6.Cables aren't the only factor slowing the download speed, but I am very disappointed that I have to replace what seemed like an ideal way to maximize my speed while reducing cable clutter & any signal interference.

This is Category 1 at most, don't buy
My internet was extremely slow and I had intermittent internet connection issues. After spending almost $2000 on new router and modem equipment, my internet was still slow. After more troubleshooting, at last, I discovered that the problem was this cable between the modem and the router. I don't know the problem with this cable but it will definitely make your network slow like dial up. Don't buy it. Go spend $2 more to buy a decent cable.
