This stuff is definitely worth the extra money if you're going for a 'maintenance free' yard. The cheap stuff from Scotts will let weeds through in mere months. This DeWitt seems like it will last forever. Be sure to overlap edges a lot when covering bigger areas. I overlapped a full 2 feet when I did my front yard.

Supresses weeds but is not a weed block. I have purchased several of these barrier type products on Amazon and this particular items as performed the lowest imo
