How does this compare to hot heads thermal cap?

I actually have a hot heads cap and I like this one better. It holds heat better than the hot heads in my opinion

It is normal that this heat cap doesn’t have the seeds all the way around?

Yes. If you have seeds throughout the cap, one could be at risk of burn. However, I find this one less effective in maintaining heat. The heat lasts about 5 to 10 minutes.

How many times can the heat cap be re-warmed? Something organic like flaxseed must degrade over time.

This Purple heat cap, I bought as a gift for a friend but in April 2019 ,I purchased the same cap in Black for myself. I use it at least 2X monthly. It has not degraded nor list it's heating ability.

How often should this be washed if used daily for pil conditioning, with disposable plastic covers?

First of all there is no need to deep condition your hair daily. Over conditioning is just as bad for your hair. Even if your hair is badly damaged, this should only be done biweekly or at most weekly. In answer to your question: I purchased my cap a year ago and still have not washed it. Using a disposable plastic cap underneath keeps it both dry and clean. If you think it is soiled, I would hand wash in warm( not hot) soapy water & rinse in cold. Drip dry. Do Not put it in the dryer. I am a retired cosmotoligist... But you may want to consult a near by hairdresser.
