Make fancy beverages at home.
I've been watching anime since I was a kid and surprisingly I never actually knew what matcha was till about a week ago, I remember seeing Professor Tomoe make it in Sailor Moon S, but I never knew what it was. I just saw an article online about matcha powder at Starbucks and I had to try it before I spent a lot on a bag,bso I went to a Starbucks inside of a Target and asked them if they had matcha (not on the menu) and I wanted it in a frappicino, it was really good but pricey- almost $5, yeah this powder is expensive but still MUCH cheaper to make a drink at home, so I decided I definitely wanted to buy the stuff to make my own matcha drinks, after all you don't really need any special or expensive tools or machines except it helps to have a bamboo whisk and maybe a blender or a hand held drink mixer, and I could make it with an alternative to sugar to cut the calories because this is pure matcha not matcha mixed with sugar, I bought a bamboo whisk and scoop and made an iced- well cold latte, with 2 scoops and just enough hot water to make into a thin paste, mixing it in a shallow bowl with a bamboo whisk, added like 6 spoons of stevia (it dissolved well because the water I used came from my Keurig) and whisked some more, poured the sweet paste into a 32 oz cup and poured it half full of milk and stirred well with a spoon and topped it off with some cold water from the fridge stirring and checking the consistency so it wouldn't be too thin (I didn't have any ice or I would have put in some ice) it created a nice foam on top even though I didn't use one of them drink wands, and it wasn't too earthy or grassy I read a lot of reviews of all kinds of brands and some people said certain matcha powders had a really earthy taste, I didn't notice it so much in this brand, it was slightly earthy but not bad, and it didn't have a pungent taste like people claim some brands do, but it may have been the way I prepared it or my own palate, I could easily make something as good as Starbucks for a fraction of the cost and calories and I don't have to leave the house and it's got about the same caffeine content as a cup of coffee for each serving. The package has a recipe for matcha lemonade I think I will try that next. Would I buy it again, probably- unless I found a cheaper brand with a comparable taste.

Awesome matcha
Noticed a lot of reviews are left from people who received the product with discounted price - I paid the full price. Immediately after opening the bag I got excited - the smell was wonderful. Rich taste and super bright green color. I am providing a picture for comaprison -- I have first falled in love with matcha after buying it at Trader Joe's (great taste, but verrrry expensive), then I decided to look for cheaper alternatives on Amazon and found jade leaf culinary grade and thought it was going to be good enough to make matcha latte with soymilk (I was wrong, that culinary grade match did not taste good, it felt like chalk and smelled bad, perhaps I am gonna use that bag for baking, but never again drinking). And then today I received this kiwami matcha and oh boy am I happy with the purchase - great taste and the price is right. Little hand-written thank you note and an origami was a sweet touch too, thank you!

Never buy matcha that is not organic sorry...it was a big mistake
Would not buy again. It's not organic. Purchased based on the fact I thought the matcha was organic.

Seems to be high quality
I purchased this tea to replace the finished container of ceremonial matcha I had shipped directly from Uji, Kyoto. This tea is a much brighter shade of green and has a stronger, grassier smell than the product it is replacing. Pricewise, the two are similar. Prepared, it is slightly bitter and a pleasantly rich shade of dark green. The package came with an origami crane and a card with a handwritten "thank you," which added a nice, personal touch. I would probably continue to purchase this as long as the quality and price does not change too much.

I love this tea
I love this tea. I started out just using the 1/2 teaspoons and adding 8oz water in a water bottle and shaking it until mix well because I did not want to purchase the bamboo tea whisk set to mix it. That didn't work out to great because the tea was dark and a lot of the tea mixture would settled at the down. Since not wanting to purchase the bamboo tea whisk set to mix it, I got on of those single serve resusable coffee filters for my Keurig Coffee Maker and added the 1/2 teaspoons Matcha Green Tea and brewed it on the 8oz setting. It came out perfect. I can add ice cubes, lemons, and add the tea in a to go bottle with 4 squirts of stevia and I am on my way. I will purchase again...
