Recommended
This item works as advertised but I experienced the laser not focusing on the flag with items in the background and therefore get the wrong distance, so you still need to double check the range.

Like it
Nice and light weight. Very good accuracy with the 8 second scan feature. Replaces a cheap alternative and was worth the upgrade.

Can take several "shots" to get the correct reading
I had a previous version of this that I lost. This replacement is a little harder to grab the flag stick. It usually takes 2 or 3 shots to get the correct reading. But, it is very accurate once you get thye reading and I love the slope indicator. For the money it is very good.

Nice for the money
Not quite as good as my leupold but for half the money and it has slope. Batteries last a long time too.

Gave as a gift
My husband has been using it and likes it.

poor stability, difficult to lock on the flag stick
Display is fine, appears to be accurate. price was decent. But lack of stability, no lock on feature makes it extremely difficult to get the correct reading as the display flashes quickly between the two distances (The Flag stick-the trees/bushes etc behind the green). Should have returned it, but got busy and lazy and have Arcos which gives me the majority of my distances.

Temperamental rangefinder
This is an OK rangefinder, but not great. I like the compact size and operates fairly well except for 2 issues: 1) does not maintain target distance if hand shakes or moves slightly and 2) gets out of focus easily.

very poor performance
I have has 4 rangefinders over the years. This Nikon is simply the worse performing device I have ever had. It's so difficult to get it to lock on a target. It displays a different number each time I try, so you have to know before about where you are to know which number is correct. After numerous attempts (every time), it tends to come up w a number, seemingly accurate. It's so frustrating, it sucks the joy out of the game. I bought this one because I tend to like smaller devices. Shame, trading off a great company name to sell 2nd rate devices.
