Vertex Vent Ventilated Safety Helmet (ANSI Z89.1 Type I Class C)

Perfect fit, very comfortable and I hate wearing hard hats. Funny, got hit in the head the first day I wore it, protected me from serious head injury! Cool in warm weather too, Florida forestry.

Over the past twelve years, I've gone through half a dozen Stihl and 3M hardhats with various face shields and hearing protection, cutting firewood out of our wood lot. The latest generation Stihls are nice. BUT they are bulky and clunky and I was forever catching the upturned face shield on brush and branches. I've used Petzl rock climbing helmets before. So when I saw they made an arborist helmet, I decided to give it a try. It is far and away the most comfortable, comfortably-snug, and secure forestry helmet I've ever used. I added the clear Lexan eye shield. Easy to install, it pops down and back up easily and crisply. I literally have come out of the woods not realizing I still had the helmet on and the face shield down- it is that comfortable. They say that the best helmet is the one you actually wear. By that definition this is the best I could imagine short of a $600 Protos.

Excellent high quality safety helmet

Have been running this for a season now 3M earmuffs and seen a communication on it. Definitely great for the Tree industry lightweight no sore neck.

You will catch attention at work. This thing is solid quality. Coming from the ULINE hard hat, this is top tier. No wobble, I have long hair so the fact that it stays on my head is also a plus. The gear to adjust slightly binds but once you have your size set there’s no reason to constantly change it as the strap is an easy get on get off. I also I got a pair of ear muffs and they fit good with the helmet.

Bought this helmet for work almost 2 years ago. Saved me from bonking my head many times, so well worth it. The fit was a little small at first but once I broke it in it fit great. Stayed on my head easily without needing to buckle the chin strap. Many of my coworkers use these PETZL helmets and love them.

Son used to mountain climb. Says it ventilates great and light weight.

Comfortable improvement over the standard hard-hat. Useful in confined spaces where a regular hardhat will fall off when the ol cranium is inverted. Compatible with many attachments; I particularly like having ear protection clipped in.

Very nice helmet, but a bit difficult to find ear muffs that fits properly and the visor hits the ear muffs and can't be used with the front mounted headlamp. I like the chinstraps and the vents.

Yes it’s improved since the last one I bought! Iv a small head and this one tightened right up ! Without the extra sponge.
