Love it!
I am in love with this blender. I bought it at the beginning of my pregnancy to help me be more healthy and make smoothies at work. The blender has never given me any issues and works great. I usually make a smoothie with banana, frozen blueberry, oats, milk and ice. The blades are sharp and always blend everything perfectly. Itโs not too loud and the color is so cute. Itโs easy to clean for the most part, the only issue I have is that the lid sometimes gets dirty under the part that slides open to drink from. You canโt really take it apart so itโs a bit hard to clean. Otherwise, I love everything about it. Iโve had it for at least 6 months and it has helped me out every day โบ๏ธ highly recommend

Simple and reliable for single servings
This Hamilton Beach personal blender turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Itโs compact, easy to use, and great for single-serve smoothies, shakes, or even chopping small amounts of ingredients. Perfect when youโre in a rush or donโt want to break out the big blender. What I loved most: Simple operation: Just twist to blend, no confusing buttons or settings. Compact design: Fits easily on the countertop or in small kitchens, and stores away neatly. Easy to clean: The cup doubles as a to-go container, and cleanup is quick, just rinse and pop in the dishwasher. Itโs not a heavy-duty machine, so donโt expect to blend frozen fruit regularly or crush ice overnight. But for everyday tasks like smoothies, protein shakes, or small veggie blends, it works perfectly. All in all, itโs a great value and a convenient tool to have on hand. I really liked it and still reach for it whenever I need a quick blend.

It can make great smoothies
Why not try a $20.00 blender? After all, in this day and age a chuck roast, a few gallons of gas, a pair of leggings, a dog toy each cost $20.00. So, the answer is the same as the question...why not! 'Buy-It-Now" button, here I come!! Hamilton Beach has been around since 1910 pioneering the mid-price, small appliance industry, and their appliances have served me well for almost 50 years. The blender arrived the same day as it was ordered dictating that the art of smoothie making was about to begin! As always, I read the included instructions; the safety tips/warnings are quite detailed. First I crushed some ice in a vintage ice crusher as I was uncertain if the little miss could handle ice; however, the stats assure that it does. Next I added sweetened (with Splenda) sliced strawberries, chunks of water melon, unsweetened non-fat greek yogurt, and bits of the crushed ice. I pushed the button and away she went...whirring and swirling until a pink, frothy mixture began to emerge. It only took a few minutes before it was ready to taste. Delicious it was! But quickly it became just a liquid drink not a thick, luscious smoothie. I did learn to be sure to close the slide for the drinking spout; yep, some found its way to the outside world. Cleaning the blender was easy; I washed the two pieces by hand. and wiped off the motor. The next morning I considered myself a bit wiser and started off with pouring about 1/4 C milk into the blender cup then added chunks of one frozen banana, a handful of sweetened frozen strawberries, 1 scoop of protein powder, and about 3/4 of the yogurt again (this time sweetened with Splenda); no ice this time. I pressed the button, and she roared into action. With this smoothie I had to take the lid off several times and using a table knife, mix the contents. Soon a very thick, pink concoction took form. I poured it into an insulated cup and ate it with a spoon. It was a delicious, creamy, dense concoction. I had indeed made my very first real smoothie! Success thanks to this little Hamilton Beach blender. This handy-dandy little blender is quite petite weighing 2 pounds and only modestly powerful at 175 watts. The cup/bowl portion is a clear hard plastic with a raspberry colored (green and blue were the other color choices) lid and motor section. The lid does not snap or twist on. There is one on/off button that must be held down for the motor to turn on; there is only one speed. The blade does not remove, is 4 pronged, and is small. One nice little extra is a groove around the base of the motor for the cord to be wound and tucked out of sight and safely away. I don't think I will use this long term, but will pass it on to some little friends who with their parents, will have great fun making smoothies. However, my experience was very positive and I have no reservations recommending it. Top 3 Likes: -Petite, efficient, compact -Personal, portable unit -Produces excellent smoothies with good recipe Top 3 Dislikes -Unable to securely seal the lid on top of the cup -Limited versatility -Not conducive to traveling i.e. in a backpack, car, etc.

Love it
Perfect for protein shakes. It is sturdy and big enough for a tall mug or just drink the shake from the jar jar measuring lines eliminate guesswork. Measuring lines on the front of the durable blending jar eliminate the need for extra measuring cups. Quickly prepare smoothies, icy drinks, protein shakes, milkshakes, salad dressings, baby food and more by just pressing the button on the Hamilton Beach personal blender. It's so simple. Made from hard plastic which makes it shatterproof

Does Not Work for Frozen Fruits
At 400wtt power this blender is weak at best. I attempted to prepare a smoothie with frozen fruit and I had to stop because the odor of a stressed motor became great. I have done it with fresh fruit (raspberries ) cannot hold the on button for more than 4 seconds before the stressed motor odor becomes apparent. It's cute and certainly portable if you can find an electrical outlet. Would I recommended as a blender for smoothies? Probably not - most of us are in a hurry and use frozen products or use things like yogurt or avocado in our smoothies and this product cannot accomplish the task because of the low wattage. Definitely not as advertised in the photos. Use it if only use fresh fruit or vegetables and make sure you cut up the fruit/vegetables to support the low wattage

Love this Litte Blender
This is a super little blender. It does a good job of mixing up soft smoothies. Meaning those kind of smoothies with mostly soft and easy to blend up ingredients. It can take crushed ice and make it smaller but it has a rough time with full size ice cubes. The driving force for the blades is plastic and be aware that it will eventually break under heavy usage. I like this little blender just because it's so easily portable and lightweight. You can mix something up real easy do a quick rinse and then throw a little extra water and soap inside and blend that and rinse it again and it's completely clean! I got a second one as a gift for a friend's birthday because she liked mine so much. Again, don't expect this to be a Workhorse! I have one of the big brand names that begins with the letter n and that has a super duper motor and Metal drive train type deal and that thing will last forever. But for convenience and quick and easy to use, I reach for this little Hamilton Beach blender each and every time.

I am shocked at all the great reviews, unless I just ended up with a ...
I am shocked at all the great reviews, unless I just ended up with a particularly bad unit. I was not expecting much from such an "affordable" blender - but the only reason for my purchase was to blend a single orange a couple of times a day. Not an apple, or carrots, but a single juicy orange. An inexpensive blender could do that, right? Well, technically, it can - with quite a bit of help. I would have to cut up the orange into pieces and make sure some were under the blades. OK, I understand why that would be as it would need something to catch onto when starting to blend. But, then I would have to repeatedly stop the blender and push more of the orange down under the blades - have to do this quite a few times, mushing the orange into more juice as I did it. I have done this twice a day for a couple of weeks. When I look at the base of the unit, it has a lot of white, fuzzy stuff all around the base of the unit. There are also tinges of green. The white particles are coming from the white plastic base attached to the motor. The green pieces are coming from the green, soft material attached to the blender cup. You can easily see the wear of both of these on the unit, so I would expect it not to last long. It might have performed well if I had added a good amount of water or other liquids to it -- but my expectations was that any blender should be able to blend something as soft and juicy as an orange without it causing wear and tear on the blades. I would usually end up with about 8 ounces, and I did not want watered down orange juice from having to add more liquid. As far as the lid goes, I only used it to blend with. I honestly would not trust it staying on when turning up to drink from because it only pushes on without a locking device. That was OK with me since it made it easier to take on and off to keep pushing the orange down into the blades. Also, I would pour the blended orange into another cup. I will try a different blender with higher wattage - turns out this one is only 175 watts. If I try one that is around 350 watts and it does not work well, then I should edit this review to reflect that - but hopefully I can find a small one to blend a single orange! Again, maybe tuis was just defective somehow to start with? I had ordered the blue one, and I will say I think the color is very nice.

Very highly recommend
So far so good. A sturdy little blender that works great. I put a half cup of unsweetened soya milk in it with 3 tbsp of hemp hearts and.pulsed off and on. The hemp hearts chopped up i to hardly any pieces. The shake was ni e thick.and delicious. I used a straw to drink it and I hardly noticed the ground hemp.hearts. I just tasted the nutty flavor along with the soya milk. It made a great healthy shake.i found it not as noisy as a large.blender and easy to clean. Such a good .price for a great brand with a wonderful operational machine
