Nice long drill bit to get through my exterior wall, cut through the bricks and mortar no problem. Needed the full 400mm as the wall was thicker than I had estimated as there was a cavity between the plasterboard and the inner brick also.Best to get 40cm even if you think 30cm would probably be enoughCan’t comment on longevity as have on drilled the one hole so far
