I bought this because I had bought a Oxford Screamer 7which I returned because it didn't make any noise. It was supposed to come with a reminder cable. It didn't. Further the battery cover was made of plastic. Not the sort of thing you want for a security device for your bike. Enter the Faburo Disc Lock. First it is sixteen pounds cheaper than the Oxford. It is virtually identical but the removable battery cover is metal and not plastic. It worked well out of the box, it came with the advertised reminder cable, the key design looks more secure and most importantly it is nice and shiny. With the sixteen pounds saving I invested in a Rechargable Wireless Remote Bike Alarm from Amazon which I highly recommend but be warned it is incredibly loud. Just the sort of thing you want in an alarm I suppose,

Very impressed, esp. as this was about 1/3 the price of my last one from a motorbike shop. The alarm is loud, it seems well constructed, comes with spare batteries & other accessories, fits well on the disc in the wheel of my Vespa - and damn these are so much more convenient than putting on & taking off a big bulky chain, esp. in winter when said chain gets wet and grubby. I have only had it for a month or two, so cannot comment on its durability, but so far I'm happy with it & surprised at the quality given the price!

Disk lock is good value for money. There's big downside for me of not being loud enough and it's only 10s alarm.

Strong piece of kit but nice and portable for when you don’t have storage space on your bike. Loud audible alarm so should be a deterrent for the opportunist thieves

Very good lock, however if the seller could contact me regarding this I have not only used for 2 nights and on the second night there was a buzzing from the alarm and got woken in the morning by neighbours on both sides as the alarm buzzing was very loud.

Its a good alarm meaning it feels solid and sturdy and it's very loud. Has it been tested against thieves? No. And I hope it never will. In the meen time I am happy with my product
