RadioShack Indoor/Outdoor Wired Thermometer 63-699

I bought a couple of these for the feral cat house I was creating. The cat shelter has cameras in it so I can keep track of the temperature they endure and adjust it.

I had a Neewer Digital LCD Indoor Outdoor Thermometer, bought from Amazon a couple of years ago. It died & I needed a replacement. The Neewer was not terrible, but not the most accurate, but was mostly consistent, routinely being off by about the same amount, so I knew how much to add or subtract to get close to the right reading. This Radio Shack was cheap, so I thought I'd try it. It is slightly more accurate than my old one, but it is far from as accurate as a bulb thermometer. The inside temperature readings is usually within a degree, the outside reading is always at least 2° high & the humidity readings are way off. My Ambient Weather wireless & my bulb thermostat always agree, so if I want to know the exact temp I go to a different room to read one of them. Maybe I should have spent a little more & bought another Ambient Weather wireless thermometer, but for what it cost, this one is okay, assuming of course it lasts for several years.
