Would highly recommend for updating the cruze's stock unit.
The unit was installed in a base model 2014 Chevy Cruze. Installation was quick and painless. Took about an hour to install and all wires ran. I could not be happier with the purchase. I have been thru 2 cheaper units and had motherboard issues. I am glad I spent a little more for this unit and would highly recommend purchasing. The buttons work flawlessly and apps work with no lag. Still have to hook up dash cam and reverse cam but should be very easy. I like the stock look of the unit with touchscreen.

It’s pretty good
I think that this is the closest to factory looking radio. The Apple play is amazing to have in the Cruze. The price is rather expensive for what it is. It’s definitely got some glitches and just plain confusing sometimes. Like the brightness button taking me to the google maps. It changed all my words to European, like my truck is now called the bonnet, it changed my tire warning light to tyre, and all of my tempature are in Celsius and you cannot change it at all. Occasionally it will keep the top notification pinned when I am in CarPlay which is kind of annoying. The install was actually pretty easy, if you want to keep the factory hook up for the car play, gm uses usb for the connection to the inside of the glove box, it’s split is located behind the passenger side center console panel right by the air dam. The hook ups on the rear of the unit are extremely convient for adding a subwoofer to the car, no splicing needed. The adapter for all of the other stuff is a little in convient for install but it gets the job done. I would highly recommend as a modern upgrade to the Chevy Cruze radio

Don't impulse buy, IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!
Overall the unit is OKAY, not a fan of how the text rotates with volume and seek knobs, can't switch to farenheight, forced to use celcius. HVAC control bubble consistently pops up on screen EVEN WHEN HVAC IS NOT CHANGED. Besides the insanely low resolution not fitting 90% of apps on the market, this unit is OKAY, not worth the price asked, maybe 1/5 of original asking price. GPS antenna is a joke, you're better off not trying to mount it, glue is absolute garbage, I expect a full refund for the unit SIMPLY because of this one issue

This is a absolutely great head unit.
This a great head unit for the 2011-15 chevy cruze. Fitment a 10, sound quality 10, apps 10, oem functions 7.5. The only reason I gave it 7.5 for oem functions is that you can not change measures items to US specific like TPMS to PSI, TEMP, and kilometers to miles on the head unit.

Good once installed, but you'll be fighting with installation.
Once it's installed, it does most everything I need. But installation is a pain. The documentation is nearly worthless, and there are some things that are not obvious. The door and flasher chimes are on a separate speaker that goes... somewhere, I stuffed it behind the radio and I can hear it clearly. The gpf antenna has to be routed up through the dashboard. The antenna connections aren't labeled. I had to go back and forth with support a few times and they sent me helpful pictures. But once it's clear where everything goes, it does everything I need it to do. I haven't tested some of the edge cases yet, and I expect a few normally unused things won't work properly, but it does everything I need. You'll need a 10 (to disconnect the battery) and 7 socket, and panel separators. No other tools required. Which is nice. Took about two hours to get completely installed, including tearing it back down to finish the job after support pointed me in the right direction. I do like a lot of the functionality. I can do music streaming from the phone, navigation, etc. Everything works well and sounds really good. It has some useful built in apps too.. But the radio doesn't sound very good. AM is quite staticky. And the flasher chime sounds like a poor sample. And also, my DIC now speaks British English for some reason. A minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. All told, it was a good purchase, but be prepared to do a little research to get it properly installed. Oh, and don't sell your old radio. Keep it around, you might need it in the future, because while this can do most things, there are a few things only the OEM radio can do, and programming a new one is a pain.

Generally clunky, returned item
Bought due to good reviews and style, but found it to be generally crappy. It looks great and the wireless CarPlay is freaking great (except for one thing) and you can tell it’s not….calibrated. Everything’s in metric and the am radio is terrible. It came with a chime replacer and now my turn signals sound silly. On Apple CarPlay, Siri doesn’t work. Can’t hear her. The audio quality is really confusing. It’s either extremely bass heavy or staticish. The steering wheel controls is weird. Can’t hang up a call, just mutes my audio, meanwhile while listening to music up is back and down is…..next. Setting the radio station is tedious because the controls are redundant. All the buttons are mapped freaking weird etc etc. did not carry over Onstar by the way. It also comes with an extra ugly external mic that I really did not want to put somewhere. It looks like a beatle. Returned the head unit. Just going to go find a car that doesn’t look stupid with a Sony radio

Installation is tricky but not impossible - overall love it
Alright, let’s talk about this radio. I have a 2016 Cruze limited. When I bought the car I was upset about the lack of Bluetooth and at a loss until I came across this radio. This radio comes with almost no instructions but it’s not impossible to install if you are even slightly intuitive. It is for the most part plug and play, but has extra wires for optional accessories that threw me off a little bit during installation. Once put in I was thrilled with the look of this radio I think it looks much better than the standard touch screen in the other models and still has the little wedge on the screen where you can keep a small item like the original head unit does. I also saw a review on this item saying that they were upset about the lighting not matching the rest of the car but after a little playing around I have actually found that the light color of this radio is completely customizable and even has a rainbow feature if you go to “setting” - “car” “element” The Apple car play is a little tricky to get used to but once you get the hang of it , it is completely Bluetooth and takes about 5 seconds to load. Overall I was a little skeptical of this radio but after installing and having it for a while I LOVE it!!!
