Comfy but warm
We used it for several months, as part of our foam mattress that we have been building layer by layer. I chose it because i have a Hollander pillow that i love, and i was afraid to try down or feathers, due to allergies. We kept it inside a waterproof encasement, along with the rest of the layers. It seems to be very well made, has many baffle boxes, and is pretty lofty...for a fiberbed. But it did flatten a little on the edges, where we get in and out of bed, and is not "fluffable", unlike the Hollander pillow. :-( I threw it in the dryer to fluff it up, didn't seem to help much, but it didn't wreck it either, which is more than I can say for one that I got at Macy's, which came unseamed in the dryer before its first use, and got even hotter! So I give this one 4 stars.Still haven't washed it...am afraid to try, since it may get lumpy. Because it is kept in an encasement, I am not afraid of it getting dirty, or dust mites, etc. We stopped using it because it does get quite warm, and we live in the tropics. Would be good in colder climates. We may keep it for a guest bed topper in a cold part of the house.I am still searching for something perfect for that top layer. Have mostly latex now, but still need a little fluff at the top.UPDATE: when we tried it on top of the bed, without the waterproof encasement, it was still warm. :-( I even tried leaving it loose like a featherbed (i.e. not using the elastic to hold it in place) and attempted to fluff it nightly, but it was still warm and stayed flattened on the edges.

Appropriately Named Cuddlebed. . .
I believe in the saying, "don't expect much and you won't be disappointed." That is what I kept in mind when I ordered the Hollander Ultimate Cuddlebed. Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed when it arrived. It looks just like it does in the photo---soft and cushy--and it feels that way on my bed too.I bought this because I was looking for something to get me as far away from my mattress as possible. Because we have a lot of travelers stop by for visits, we were a bit worried when the bedbug epidemic started. So we put the best anti-bedbug mattress protectors on our mattresses. However, these protectors (even though be bought the ones that were most cotton-like) still have some plastic in them. Sleeping on any form of plastic or foam rubber makes me too hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable. I tried putting several layers of flannel sheets and mattress pads between me and the protectors, without any success. The Hollander Ultimate Cuddlebed was my last resort--and it worked! I put it over the mattress and mattress protector, and then I put a mattress pad over the Cuddlebed---simply because as far as I'm concerned the Cuddlebed IS the mattresses pillow top. Then, of course, the regular bedding. I was so happy the first night I slept on it. I wasn't affected by the hot plastic of the mattress protector. Kept cool and comfortable all night and had a very good night's sleep. The underside of the Cuddlebed does, in fact, have that awful "fake" flimsy, cotton candy-type, nylon material that is under most mattress pads that melts and balls up after the first time you forget to turn the temp down on the dryer. How I wish they would stop making that stuff and line these things with cotton instead! But since I'm treating the Cuddlebed as part of the mattress, I'm not worried about having it melt. And if I do have to wash it, I will remember to take very good care to keep the heat on the dryer to a minimum.Other than that, I am very pleased with my new Cuddlebed.

Fits an RV queen short mattress like a glove
I bought this Cuddlebed for our RV bed. The mattress is very firm and I needed something to give it some softness but not make me hot. I did not want memory foam due to the smell and the heat factor. I sleep hot and don't need anything that would increase that.I was worried it would not fit the mattress well since our RV mattress is a Queen short and this is for a regular Queen. It fit like a glove. In fact I think it might not quite fit a regular Queen fully since it fit the short so well. The skirt that is on this product is of excellent quality and it works great. IT goes on and stays on. I have seen so many of these that the skirt was some kind of paper or mesh type product, this is all stretch fabric with great 4 way stretch. The elastic is also good quality. The fabric of the top is also very good quality. Putting this on the bed did not affect the fit of our sheets, everything fits very well together.I opened it and we fluffed it up by shaking it around some then we draped it over the back of the couch for a while to let it get acclimated and to it's full size. It was as thick as advertized after that.I would definitely recommend it and am considering one for my home bed also. The size of a Queen short mattress is 60"x75" a regular Queen is 60"x80" so there is a 5" difference. This fit the entire mattress top with no extra, on a regular Queen you may have a small area of the mattress top edge that would not be covered by the fluffy top but I don't think it would be a problem since the sheets would compress the edges some anyway. Any part that the fluffy top does not cover the stretchy skirt will with no problem. The fabric of the skirt is similar to swimwear material.I am very happy with the Cuddlebed.

No acolchona
Queda bien en la cama king size, pero no agrega nada de acolchonamiento. Parece más como un protector y solo en las orillas está acolchonado.
