Afta Pre-Electric Shave Lotion, 3 Ounce (Pack of 2)

Always loved this stuff. It sets up your face for a smooth burn free electric shave

So, you basically have Mennen Afta Pre-Electric Shave lotion, Letric Shave, and several other specialty brands. The specialty brands are more than I care to spend on such a product. So that brings it down to Mennen Afta and Lectric Shave. I have been shaving exclusively with electric razors for about 15 years now and have oscillated between these two products (and quite often no pre-shave) and I like both. However, for me, Mennen edges out Lectric Shave. YMMV. It seems to me I get a closer shave without having to go over the same spot(s) with this Mennen product. I "think"—pure speculation on my part—it's because it's a lotion; it acts like shaving cream and softens the beard, which is why you tend to get a closer, more comfortable shave when using shaving cream with wet/dry electric razors. It's cost-effective, works well, results in a closer shave on my beard (again, YMMV; other products might work better for you) and makes shaving more comfortable. I also find the smell, which doesn't last long, pleasant. This is the pre-shave I'll be reordering from now on.

I got a crazy idea to use an electric shaver instead of a razor. Didn’t like the shaver, gave away the lotion.
