No more uneven trimming!
I have three Goldens and this is a life saver in our heavy heat. I don't agree with shaving a Golden- they have that hair for a reason people! However, as they are in and out of the pool three or five times daily, I wanted to trim the hair down a bit. I normally do this by hand and it always looks a little choppy. No more!! This tool is fabulous! You simply comb it through and it takes the excess off. You may need a different sized one depending on the silkiness of the dog's coat. Two of mine are great with the extra fine, but for my one boy who has super silky hair and lots of curls, that size doesn't do a nice job. I had to buy the one with fewer teeth for his coat. It takes out the undercoat with ease and the dogs simply love it too. After they're done, they prance around very happy to be cooler and still handsome!

Success, finally...
I've tried everything to work out horrible mats on my Miniature Poodle. Nothing had worked. Finally, I tried this dematting brush and it worked. Mats seem to happen so fast on her curly coat. She is normally in a traditional poodle cut. I used Ice Ice detangling/dematting spray by Chris Christensen on each individual mat first. (Depending how tight and close to the skin they are..) I then went to work gently trying to pull the mat apart best I could, then used the dematting brush. It all takes patience. But, truly this tool was the only "tool" that worked. Usually, she is professionally groomed and really no in-between visit problems. However, shes gone over-due, then rolled in mud outside and my daughter bathed her which, if you know, my poodle needs thorough brushing on a dry coat before getting wet or bathing and if not, the hair mats up, and any mats present get tighter. Hope this review helps. I've spent a ton of money trying to find a solution. Wish I went to this first.

Wow!
I have a Wire Fox Terrier puppy and I wanted to get her groomed traditionally as her breed calls for, hand stripping. I could not find a groomer who would do it. Then when I managed to find one, she sorta made excuses and didn't want to do it which completely bummed me out. I wanted to learn myself but as she's a puppy she's still very wiggly and I don't have any other equipment to help with that. That's when I found this. Originally I was just brushing her with one of those wire combs and it got hair out, but this was a game changer! The first time I used it I got enough hair to make a new puppy! It is amazing how much hair it got out and was also very easy to get off the brush. I can tell she also loves the feel of the brush because it's one of the times I can get her to be still for a few minutes. Overall I would definitely recommend this product for dogs with that wiry hair.

German Wirehaired Pointer Success
I lost my groomer who hand stripped my GWP. I haven't been able to find another locally so I turned to this tool to keep him neat and sleek. I ordered the 12-blade. The rake works well enough that I will not seek out a groomer for coat maintenance anymore. This item is easy to use for this novice groomer and the dog doesn't mind it. I run it over him about once a week. Sturdy build and I believe it will last as long my furry friend and beyond. I chose this particular item because it was recommended multiple times by professional groomers. Directions of use are important to avoid damage to the outer coat. Refer to the internet. I would purchase this item again.

Man...this tool is amazing!
I have 2 Jack Russell terriers, one with a broken coat and the other a rough coat. My little female that has the rough coat has very fine long hair and when I use my professional comb on her I have to be gentle as it's kinda like combing out a little kids snarly hair but this tool (for as savage as it looks) works amazingly well. I won't use it all the time but for times when her coat starts to get a little out of control. Well worth the money. Highly recommend this tool. My breeder had recommended this tool to me as she uses it on all her Russells and the great thing is that it's made in Germany and everything I've EVER owned made in Germany is high quality!

Takes time but works!
Saw this on a Springer Spaniel page. Easy to use just takes a lot of brushing. Pulls out old, dry hair leaving shiny hair. Surprised how well it works, not sure our dog likes.

Oliver's Pet Care and Mars Coat King Grooming Tools Rock!!!
What a wonderful grooming tool! The instructions are short and to the point. It is very easy to use. I just brush her with it in the direction of the hair growth holding her skin taut where I'm working. I end up with a softball size ball of hair. Takes about 15 minutes. Our Cairn Terrier cross Lucy loves it! She just stands or lies down when I'm grooming her. it's just like a good body scratching to her. She has a lovely red coat and it takes out the dead undercoat which is more of a tan color, but leaves the rough red coat on the outside. The photo attached is Lucy after I groomed her. I use a #12 tool on her body and a #16 on her face and legs. The spacing between the blades on the #16 is smaller so it takes out more hair or the finer hair. I only bought one but ended up with two! Here's how that happened. Oliver's Pet Care was the seller. I originally ordered the #12 blade but received the #16 in #12 packaging. I wrote an email to the seller and received a prompt response from Anna B. at Oliver's apologizing for the packaging error and that they were shipping me out the #12 tool right away at no charge. Also to please let them know when I received it, and that it was the correct one this time. So I ended up with the two of them and find each does a fine job in their respective areas. So a shout out to Oliver's Pet Care for quickly resolving the error in my favor!

Best shedding tool around by far
Takes a while to learn how to best use on your dog's fur, but once you have that mastered- bingo. I have an Australian Shepherd and when I mislaid it during my recent move I was lost. Can't do without. I was ready to buy another one when I finally found it.
