Hard to swallow when wearing and generally uncomfortable

So I had a fall skiing and fell backwards and experienced a whiplash-like injury. On the day of my injury, I felt totally fine. The morning after I fell my neck pain was unbearable. I could barely get out of bed, so I ordered one of these worryings that maybe day 3, two days after the injury might be worse and that I might be stuck in bed. So this arrived on day three. I still have quite a lot of post-fall neck tension, but I am already mending. I say this because perhaps people with more severe cases might want something more substantial. The only real acute pain is going from laying down to standing and from standing to laying down with the tendon that runs down under my ears just killing me. This makes that movement much more tolerable. So it's worthwhile it might help me get better a little faster. I've got a short neck and I am overweight and I had no difficulty putting it on by myself.
