If you have the rest of what goes with these, get 2 sets
I got these to go with my set-up for doing the air conditioning...The manifold, etc... they all have "on and off" valves... but you can use these to make sure to not "suck air" at the wrong time. Put them on BOTH ends of your hoses.

Great so far
Just installed these on my two central air condensers. Wanted to be able to check the pressure in each unit. Since they are old I check the pressure at the start of every season and two or three times during the season. I tried these because every time I removed the gauge hose I would lose refrigerant. With these that shouldn't be a problem. I don't think I would use them to pull a vacuum or charge the system but they are good for what I need them for. So far there are no leaks and they are working like they are supposed to. I turned out the nipple two or three turns since at first the nipple didn't contact theSchrader valve, now it does. I will update review if there are any problems or they start leaking. So far they seem pretty strong seal very well. Install them fairly tight with a pair of pliers, not hand tight.

Won't open schrader valve
I was really hoping these would work for me. Alas, the seals are so thick and firm that they won't screw on far enough to open the schrader valves on any of the equipment I've tried them on.The valves may as well be permanently closed.

Save your money these are leakers
The valves leak profusely and have the crappy white gasket that are prone to leaking. One valve leaked so bad that I could not pinpoint where by feel. This is the second set of these that I have tried and both sets had the leaking problem.

Worked as expected...
I read reviews of these adapters and was concerned about the poor reviews about them leaking...well I used them yesterday to pull vacuum and pressure test and had no leakage what so ever.So very happy with them!
