This is a good size and my kids enjoy it. It is easy to store but is a good size once put together. The colors are clear and bright.

I have always valued the quality of Melissa & Doug products. I have bought several learning toys for the kids, but this is the first time of purchasing one of their puzzles. It is a great puzzle! The pieces are thick and uniform and are a very nice weight and easily connect. The graphics/picture on this puzzle are very clear and consistent. The coloring is correct. The edges of the puzzle pieces are all neat and finished and we have enjoyed playing with this. My grandson is obsessed with tractors, earth movers, and any type of heavy equipment so this puzzle was perfect for him. This is just the right size for younger kids and once completed the puzzle was quite large 2' x 3'. There are 48 pieces to this puzzle, which is just right for kids. Even the box of this puzzle is quality and heavy duty. A lot of puzzle boxes are very flimsy cardboard and break or split at the corners, spilling the pieces all over. Not this one. Very pleased with the quality and the price of this and will continue to recommend Melissa & Doug toys to others. Always a quality product!

I have not had the spare time to do a puzzle for my own enjoyment since I was 8 years old, so I haven't been keeping up with the state of puzzles these days. My mother-in-law gave my toddler a Melissa & Doug puzzle, and mentioned that all other puzzles on the market are complete crap because each piece is cut exactly the same as each other piece (other than the border pieces, of course, unless the puzzle is one of those horrid formless things) in order to cut production cost, such that the child doing the puzzle ends up fitting entirely unrelated pieces together and ending up frustrated. I didn't really believe that puzzle quality could have tanked so dramatic since I was a child, and I picked up a non-M&D (but still from a "good" brand) puzzle at a yard sale the other day and gave it to my son. Sure enough, each piece fit into each other piece, my son ended up with an assembled puzzle showing no recognizable image, and he became frustrated. Unbelievable. We will stick with M&D puzzles from now on. In addition to each piece having a unique shape, M&D puts a lot of care into determining where the cuts are made, such that it isn't abundantly obvious - even to parents (who maybe had a bottle of wine) - how the pieces fit together, and the whole family can enjoy doing the puzzle together (and ending up with an assembled puzzle that actually presents a cohesive image).

Great Puzzle for our 3 1/2 Year Old Grandson!The pieces fit together easily, and it’s the perfect size for him to work on as a floor puzzle. With 48 pieces, it’s challenging but not too difficult, and he enjoys putting it together every time he comes to visit. Highly recommend for little ones learning and having fun with puzzles!

Bought for my 2.5 year old because she loved the farm floor puzzle from Melissa and Doug and it was becoming too easy for her. This puzzle we found a little bit harder. Very solid well made puzzle and great prize. I highly recommend all Melissa and Doug floor puzzles.
