Go! with Office 2013, Volume 1

This was just what my son needed for his college class on Microsoft. It came with the bonus MyITLab which saved us over $80. It had great detailed instructions. My son's class was a hybrid class so he had to follow the book for all of his instruction. He learned a great deal and received an A. This is a great instruction book and saved me money.

Used for college classes

I'm tempted to put 3 stars, but for what it is, not bad. The problem is the price. The physical copy is an outrageous $150. Seeing as it's only being used casually by my son for 1 semester, I found $150 pricey, so opted for this: a rented digital copy for $50. In that context, this is a pretty good deal. At least he's not having to leave it around as an expensive door stop afterwards, or get ripped off selling back a used copy. I very much appreciate the whole digital lending option, and that's why I gave it 4 stars. All textbooks should be made available in the digital realm.

This book is WAY too friggin long but fits for the requirements of the class I took. I always say this about school text books... nobody buys these things for their enjoyment. I did learn quite a few neat little tricks about office that I didn't know about before. Some of them are actually useful. Otherwise a very easy "A" (I made a 103% in this class) and it might benefit your work presentations.

Wouldn't know how to get through my Computers 101 course without it. Also, though it wasn't "like new" in my opinion, after working with it for a semester, I can see how this 900+ page book is hard to keep "like new". . . As for the book itself, very thin pages that are full of detailed explanations for anyone at any stage of computer knowledge. . . This, I guarantee, as I am a senior citizen so without it, there would have been no way for me to get more than a small fraction of the new Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs that are now so commonly used.

It's a text book, I needed it. That's about it. However, this is a good book and I learned a lot from it. I can't say that for all of my textbooks. So if you are just interested in learning more and have a good base knowledge then it's still a good book to have. The price is too high though.

It is a used book but good condition. I think it's good deal, my classmate bought the book at the college as twice much of the price. The book is also very helpful. It is easy to follow the direction. My grade is perfect so far.

I ordered this for my son's college class. Unfortunately, the access code will not work for his class because the tech support will not merge his current 'trial' account with this access code. I would strongly recommend ordering this product from the actual Office site instead of a 2nd party seller like Amazon. Unfortunately, we have already scratched off the access code and will not be able to return it!
