I bought this to replace a few "wilderness" leather necklaces that held some flint firestarter necklaces. After a while, they get scraggly from sweat and oil. I wrote to the creator of the necklaces and they told me what width paracord to get and what knots to use on the necklace. I was able to successfully replace the leather with this and not only that, it does not loosen like the leather did, so when I set it at a certain length, it stays that way. Better than the leather in my opinion.

Pull the internal white cord, and use a lighter to melt the cut ends of the outer shell, and the 3mm diameter works great for shoe/boot laces.

The media could not be loaded.  Love the pattern on this and have purchased it twice. Reminded me of a rattlesnake. Used on wraps for two knives, one of which has been my everyday carry, and the other is my camp knife. Both knives were gifts and I’m glad that I could make them a little my own. Paracord had a nice tension when taut. And is a nice diameter for wraps. Can’t speak on the durability yet. But so far after two weeks of regular use I haven't noticed any frays.

I had a pair of boots with laces that were worn out, so I decided to replace them with paracord. Little did I know that there are multiple sizes of paracord, so needless to say, I think the quality is good, but I didn't get mil-spec paracord...mine was fairly thin, which could be good for some things but definitely not boot laces.

So I have contacted the seller to let them know about this, but the Darkside 425 cord I ordered is not 425 (3mm) ...the sizing is actually 275.Now it's a cool color and I have started trying to grow my selection of sizes and colors. So I think I can use it. Just know there is a tiny cost difference going from micro > 275 > 425. Also if you wanted that size, it would not work for you.Quality seems okay and I do have allot of Paracord planet. Quick shipping. Color is kinda unique. So all else is good, just the one issue hurts it pretty bad. Would almost give it 2 stars, but I feel it's more on the miss labeling than the product itself.

Looks consistent in the braid and color, it’s soft to the feel and flexible.I wouldn’t trust this for anything needing high strength or use it for long term outdoor/wet environments but for simple projects and or crafts it will do just fine.

Restrung a marimba using this cord and it did exactly what was needed.
