Very Highly Recommended
Fantastic quality guitar. Mine has a problem and i think it's the 3-way switch. Sometimes the Neck pickup can't be selected or if it is it still does not work. however the guitar is so good in every respect I decided to keep it, even after the seller provided me with a pre-paid return label. Maybe in the future I will fix the problem with a new wiring harness or a new 3-way switch (if I can't fix the existing switch/wiring). The pickups are HOT and really good sounding! I rate this guitar as good as mt $1,150 guitar. The frets are excellent, no rough edges. Some are a very little higher in spots than others so I don't keep the string height extremely low. I'm talking about 1 or 2 high spots on the hi-E string only. Every guitar I own has that problem. My style is to use a lot of finger-string bends and to do that the strings need to be fairly high above the finger board anyway. I use the old school Jazz players set up which is 2 dimes thickness at the 12th. fret. I actually slap 2 Dimes together and use them as a ffler gauge between the Low E and the metal fret at the 12th. fret. Higher strings provide for better tone. The colors and finish are very beautiful. Not one flaw in the finish or binding. The overall balance of the guitar as I play it is excellent. The neck is very comfortable too. Every fret is shinny and smooth from a good quality polish job at the factory. The frets and finger board shipped with a covering material to protect them during shipping. Never saw that before. It has a New-Bone Nut and came with D'Addario strings. The neck is bound. One thing, the f-holes are a little narrow which may make the job of changing the wiring harness and volume/tone pots and 3-way switch a little difficult. But I have read that others have done that and that means I can do it too if I every choose to upgrade the electronics. I paid $218 in February 2016. That is a great price, the guitar is worth more than that. The Tone is what I really like and that is the real reason I kept my Oscar Schmidt OE30 Delta King. It's my best sounding guitar and best easiest to play guitar because of the balance as you play it. Some guitars are neck heavy and that makes them hard to play. Some guitars are too thick and that is uncomfortable. This guitar has me searching for those $5,000 Gibson ES-335's since it's very similar. Can I afford a $5,000 Gibson ES-335? No, not this year anyway. So I will gladly continue playing my OE30.

I'm an 8 out of 10 on this.
I am just getting back into guitar after quite some time and did a fair amount of research before buying this guitar. I was looking for something more suitable to playing jazz and felt this was a very good buy compared to the Peavey, Ibanez, Dot I was looking at. However, at this point (about 3 weeks into having the guitar), I have concerns. First, even though the picture showed a pickguard, there was none. I did call the vendor and he said previous shipments came in with the pickguard but not the current one's. It's not a deal-breaker. Then I spent several days tuning the guitar to no avail. The strings were extremely light and just would not hold a tune and the intonation was way off. So I took the guitar to a local shop and had it stringed with medium-gauge flatwounds plus they did a full set-up. I also had them make a pickguard for me which looks great. I have now essentially doubled the cost of the guitar but even so I think the cost is reasonable. However... the guitar still does not hold a tune as I would like and I'm not sure why. I have to do a significant re-tune every day when I first play and then do minor tuning during the 1-2 hours I play. I've had the strings on for about a week now so figure any string 'play' would have settled in by now so something else is going on. When I got the guitar back from the set-up, I was told to watch the tuning on the guitar. He was concerned that the tailpiece and bridge were not mounted flush with the body and may not be set correctly, possibly loosening under the stress of the flatwounds. This is where I have my concern. I can see that those two pieces are not mounted flat against the arch top but rather are parallel to the strings and thus appear to have a small 'lift' on the tail side. They seem to be set solidly, just not correctly (according to the shop). I am hoping that eventually the guitar will hold a tune... it could be the strings or the weather or temperature in the house or humidity or whatever, I'll have to see. (or maybe I'm just real picky!) On a more positive note, I love the new strings and action on the neck. Much better 'jazz' sound with the flatwounds and I use a very slight reverb on the Fender Frontman I bought for a deep, mellow sound. Overall, the guitar is gorgeous with a nice, high-gloss sunburst pattern and nicely monogrammed headstock that really catches your eye (mine at any rate!) I do wish it were balanced a little better, these 335-knockoffs have a heavy block in them. I use a strap even when sitting. I also bought a generic 335 hardshell case through Amazon for a very reasonable price and it's a perfect fit. Overall, I would say that this purchase is ok at this point. When the tuning issue is resolved, it will become an excellent buy on my part.

Cant keep it in tune
I have been playing guitar for about 10 years and never had a guitar that is untenable. It looks nice and a good quality craftsmanship for the price nice the neck and frets are all normal it’s just that it won’t tune and stay in tune I tune it and then start to play it and the tune is out I contacted the seller but haven’t heard back from them. Until I hear from the seller I have to give it 2 stars.

Pretty good guitar
So I am a beginner. I needed a new electric guitar and wanted that hollowbody sound. Good price for an good guitar. Never played it on stage so I don't know its limits in that area. Other reviews say to change the strings and the pick ups. So do that if you got the time. If not, then just buy a better guitar. The paint looks good and the finish is ok. Sounds ok when plugged in.

Highest quality, bargian basement price!!
This guitar is of very high quality, the workmanship is first rate. Almost a flawless finish, equal to very high priced guitars. The action on the guitar that I received is perfect for me. Fret ends are ever so slightly rough, but I can easily touch those up. The only issue I had was the B string broke while tuning it for the first time, it took no tension at all and was not in tune. The seller shipped out a new set of strings so in the mean time I just replaced it from another set that I had and will keep the sellers strings as a back up. This guitar plays and sounds beautiful, you get the same quality and sound as in a guitar priced well over twice what this cost. This guitar in my opinion is much higher quality and finish than my $700 name brand guitar. Very highly recommended. See and hear the reviews of the OE30 Semi-Hollow Body on Youtube. If you purchase this guitar I'm sure you will not be sorry.

Mislead
Item was sold as a hollowbody guitar but it is a semi-hollowbody which is not the same.Oh well I will keep it if it playes ok.Extremely loud string buzz on low E and was simply not playable. Guitar shop said it would cost $70.00 to make it playable so I sent it back and only lost my shipping charge. Glad to get rid of it.

Big Bang for the money
This an absolutely beautiful looking and sounding guitar. I have been playing over 30 years and currently play with a band weekly. I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio but wanted a semi hollow body but didn't want to put out the big bucks for another Gibson. After doing research I found this OE30, I owned a OS 12 string a few years back and liked so purchased this guitar. If you are on a budget or just starting out buy this, It plays well and sounds amazing through my half stack. While you are at it, buy the OE20, it is the LP model. I bought it as a backup for the Gibson. It has a bit brighter sound than the Les Paul and is a solid instrument.

It's awesome
Ok so after getting a replacement for the first one I had to repair the switch. The nut had come off. No real big deal but frustrating. Called Amazon and they give me a partial refund. Well worth the effort to get ot though. After tuning the Action was perfect out of the box. I've been playing for the better part of 20 years. I'm in love. Lol I'll probably end up replacing the pickups eventually. Great value for sure.
