Mechanic Model 1/350 Space Battleship Yamato

Excellent detail typical of Bandai. Photoetch not necessarily needed in all areas. MANY parts- advanced modeling experience needed. IR control of main guns, engine, wave motion gun, port & starboard anti-aircraft batteries are excellent. Folding wings, port bow missile tubes & port missile launcher give it a "toy-like" feel, so I omitted them from the build. Illumination of tower is accomplished w/ many light pipes.Need to print out decals of the anchor emblem that is seen on the bow, and port & starboard sides.This model most replicates the re-build of the ship as seen in the 6th animated Yamato movie.However, you can paint it as any version you see fit (color details on the main guns, swap LED for tower from red to green etc.Only downside is that some of the pins don't line up with the holes- care must be taken here in dry-fitting the parts & trimming as needed. The same goes for the tower, but once in place- AWESOME model kit.Recommended for dedicated fans of the shows & movies, with advanced modeling skills.

The model is ok but i cant beleive that i paid $590 for it. The lights do not stay on and it only has a few led lights throughout the model. this model kit should not cost more than $150. But the person that i bought it from was very professional and always replied to my questions and very curtious. I defenitely would buy from this person again. but i would never,EVER spend that much money on a plastic model kit again, NEVER!!!!!!

I love it, such a nice kit! It's well worth what I paid. Going to be a fun build.
