The Best of Our Best Bites!
I own all three Our Best Bites cookbooks and this is my new favorite. I'll admit that when I first got it and flipped through I was a little less excited. (Not as many decadent desserts and creamy savory dips as their other books), but after making the recipes I am completely in love! I've made 14 recipes so far and my family has happily gobbled up every meal, even my very picky son. My husband says the chipotle meatloaf is his favorite meatloaf he's ever had. The book is a mix of re-styled traditional dishes and modern "trendy" dishes (e.g., Bahn Mi tacos) incorporating a variety of ethnic flavors. Everything is so flavorful that it is hard to tell that calories have been cut. The recipes also call for real food rather than low calorie processed food (with the exception of reduced fat mayo). My husband & I have been trying to improve our diet without dieting and this cookbook fits the bill perfectly. Another wonderful aspect of the book is that the authors include tips for making a variety of meals from key ingredients in the recipe and include calorie counts for those ingredients. For example, the recipe for kalua pork sliders includes a tip with a variety of uses for the kalua pork other than the sliders.

... cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this cookbook
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this cookbook. I received it as a gift from a friend with the ingredients to make the Italian Sausage and Potato Soup. It was DELICIOUS. So we decided to try another recipe...this time it was the Coconut Curry Chicken Noodle Soup. Again, it was gobbled up by everyone in my family (9 people over the holidays). With two of out two recipes working so well, we decided to keep going. So far we have tried 7 of the recipes in this book and have been thrilled with each one! I just can't believe it. Now I feel like telling everyone I know about it. I have bought this book, in the last week, for my mom and my two daughters at college. I agree with some of the other reviews that it is a total bonus that all of these recipes are under 400 calories. You don't even notice you are eating healthy! The food is that good. I can't wait to keep trying others in this book and am now seeing that the authors have other cookbooks and a blog. Really excited about that bit of news. If you are looking for healthy, delicious, easy to buy ingredients and make the recipes kind of recipe book, this has it all. You won't be disappointed.

I love this cookbook
I love this cookbook! I have been trying to eat healthy for about three months now. I got this cookbook right when I was getting burnt out of the recipes I was making.I love the layout, the pictures, and recipes. Some things that I really love about this cookbook, that I think are unique, are: calorie and nutritional information for every recipe. Every recipe has a picture. They suggest side options and provide calorie count on those as well! There is a note before each recipe prefacing it. they provide shopping tips and rollover ingredients. There really is so much to love! The best part is eating healthy, but not knowing it because it tastes so Yummy! My favorite cookbook by far!

Yummy! Real food, real taste, lower calories.
I've used several recipes from this book and they are all amazing, don't seem low calorie at all. Even my husband likes them, he even liked the roasted sweet potatoes. The recipes are easy to follow. If you are trying to keep your calories down you need to be sure to check labels of the ingredients (they can vary quite a bit between brands), and watch the portion size. Some of theses are so yummy it is hard to stop at one serving. I love the notes, and suggestions of what to serve with each recipe. They use real ingredients that I can easily find in the grocery store, some of the less common items they even tell you where in the store you might find it. My favorite cookbook so far.

Beautiful Photographs
I really like this cookbook. It is organized extremely well and has tons of family friendly recipes. The full color pictures for every single recipe are beautifully photographed. I also like that each recipe gives a rating for how easy each one is, gives tips to make it vegetarian (if thats an option) and other tidbits you can use to change up the meal a bit. My favorite part though is the Rollovers section for each recipe. It tells you what ingredients roll over well that you might not use as often so you could use it in more than one recipe. The authors are wonderful as well giving advice and tips. Great cookbook!

Had this for awhile and here are our favorites...
This is a great cookbook. I figured I should review it now that I have cooked an assortment of dishes from it. The coconut almond breakfast quinoa is amazing. The curry cashew quinoa salad is so filling. Thai chicken salad is easy to make and very tasty. The black bean mango quesadillas are good too. My favorite dish that I've made so far is the creamy Cajun pasta, which my family renamed Piggy Pasta since the noodles look like pig tails. This really is a great cook and I can't wait to continue to cook through it.We made the slow cooker taco chicken and weren't really too impressed with it but that's not worth losing a star; I think our family likes a little more spice than others.

Another gorgeous book filled with fantastic recipes!
These girls have done it again, another fantastic book! Family friendly recipes with real ingredients you can get at your local market. Lots of different categories then just dinner; including breakfast, snacks, and light desserts. They've also included a salad bar menu with all the nutritional ingredients for any salad item you can think of, so you can build your own salad. The pictures are gorgeous, the recipes are easy to follow and customizable with add-on options and alternatives with most recipes. This book is not a 'diet book', it is just a great cookbook filled with healthy, family recipes. You will not be disappointed!
