What would be the equivalent of a men’s medium?

if you want slim fit you can order Asian XL =US M If you like to wear casual you can order Asian 2XL =US L

Is it fully waterproof? will it keep me dry in a heavy downpour?

To be honest I haven't worn it alone in a heavy downpour without an umbrella. However when I do wear it in normal rain and with an umbrella I stay dry. It's pretty waterproof.

i buy mine medium 5.6" 132 lb I understand that the medium would stay with you. my normal clothes are small size

So, I purchased this product (and quickly returned it). I wear a medium (V-Necks, Coats, etc), so I ordered a medium and it was definitely equivalent to a large, very baggy and "boxy", it just doesn't fit right. Additionally, the chest/wallet zippered pocket...ISN'T EVEN A REAL POCKET. It just zips open to the backside fabric, with no capacity to carry anything except maybe 4 toothpicks or a sewing needle, like WTF?! This product is cheap, and not well thought out. Avoid this product.
