Allison 54-0106 Clear Toll Pass Holder

It does what it says. I have it in a car I borrowed from my parents after my car was rear ended.Update March 2023: After 1 year and 9 months, the suction cups have worn out and do not stay attached/attached to windshield. Did a good job until then. I'll probably see about getting some new suction cups so I can keep this if I have to borrow a car again.

Fits newer, smaller NJ tag perfectly. No rattling around. As another reviewer mentioned, you need to remove the windshield side Velcro to make it fit. The Velcro attached to the tag can remain stuck on. Just slowly slide it into place.Suction cups are tricky to install...need to sort of partially insert , then rotate a bit into place. FYI installing suction cups prior to inserting tag will make opening a tad smaller. I was still able to insert the tag, it just made the opening just a smidge smaller....but doable.Will update if suction cups fail, but I did moisten them prior to sticking to windshield. I had a similar unit for the bigger tag, and it would unstick in extremely cold weather. So reasonable expectation should be met.

I'm glad I bought this. With the three suction cups, the holder stays reliably attached to the windshield (I attached it just one time and it's been staying, no problem, for weeks now) and it doesn't wobble/clatter like some of the holders with only two suction cups. My only gripe is the holder cracked when I first inserted my ezpass--plastic could have been more durable. However, the crack isn't really a problem since the three suction cups ensure the EZPass stays put.UPDATE: I've had this pass holder for three years now and it hasn't fallen once (New England winters...so the cold doesn't seem to affect suction at all). Allison corp. offered me a free replacement because of the crack but frankly it's not worth the trouble (apparently you should remove all the strips from the EZPass before inserting it into the holder).

Strong suction cups hold on great! I'm constantly moving between my personal car and rental cars so this is very helpful! As long as it's on the windshield, it always works. I'm done with forgetting to hold up the transmitter and getting a much larger bill in the mail! Another perk, is that you can move this to any part of the windshield. That can't be done easily with the permanent velcro strips. Have not had any problems with this falling off once attached. If anything, I've had to use two hands to carefully remove it from the windshield to move it from car to car.

Really like these pass-holders. I recently got an EZ-Pass for my SO and I to use, and we had also purchased new vehicles. I never thought I would be so hesitant to put the sticky tabs on my windshield, but was hating the thought of it, and I knew he wouldn't be a fan either. These are the perfect compromise - allow us to remove them if we don't need them or for cleaning, but have the pass in the correct placement during travel.

This works perfectly with the suction cups as I did not want to put those sticky velcro tabs on my window. I can take it down when I want to clean the windows and not have to deal with unsightly sticky tape! The PA unit fits in there perfectly, it does not have room to rattle around. Took pics from the outside and inside of the car. It's not distracting as I have it behind the rear view mirror.

I was able to get the transponder into the holder without taking the velcro off which others said was a problem. Maybe because I put the suction cups on after putting the transponder in.Initially I gave this a 1 star rating because I couldn't get the suction cups to hold onto the windshield. But it wasn't the fault of the suction cups. Our vehicle had little dots on the windshield surrounding the rear view mirror which is where the transponder usually goes. But those dots are actually slightly raised preventing the suction cups from grabbing on. Once I moved it over to get away from the dots, it stuck just fine.

I knew i wasn't getting much with this product and honestly was just to put my EZ pass in temporarily so was expecting a lot. Great price but the problem was i could not get it out once i put it in and it ended up breaking (i pretty much forced it out doing so). Because my EZ pass had the velcro stickers on from originally installing in my car, it caused it to get stuck in the holder. It fit in perfectly but there wasn't much room to pull it out. We only needed it as a temp because our car was in the shop and needed to move the EZ pass to the rental. The suction held very well and was not an issue. For the price it was fine but i wouldn't pay much more. If you have a new EZ Pass that does not have the velcro stickers on it it may be what you are looking for.
