It became an Add-On item, so you can't buy it alone, which I guess is also fair, considering the price.I'm upgrading this from 1 star to 4 stars, as this is a quality product. Not quite 5 stars, because the other deal Ernie Ball Single String .016 6-Pack is still better, $6.99 for six strings without the Add-On requirement.**************** Original 1-star review ****************My bad - judging by the $5.68 price tag, I assumed in haste that this was a 5-pack, as this price is similar to the 5-packs the other gauges like D'Addario PL012-5 Plain Steel Guitar Single String, .012 5-pack, PL011, etc. come in. I overlooked that this is literally a SINGLE string, and it says so clearly in the product description. But, c'mon, $5.68 for a single string?? What a rip off. I'd be better off if I ordered a complete set. I wish I knew there is a better deal out there, D'Addario NYXL Plain Steel Guitar Strings, .016, 2 singles per pack - a 2-pack for $4.65 (still might be better off with a whole set though).UPDATE:Here's a good deal on a .016 multipack: Ernie Ball Nickel Plain Single Guitar String .016 Gauge 6-Pack - $3.79 + $3.49 shipping. For some reason, the .016 gauge single string products are hard to find on Amazon (and they are barely available at all elsewhere).

Good price, convenient
Good price, don’t like having to spend 6 bucks for a set of 6 high e strings when I can just spend less than a dollar for one for one replacement.

Decent
These strings were a good addition to my gig bag, for replacing the high E string after a breakage, when I don't need to replace the whole set. On my Gretsch for double jet, this stays in tune well, and meets all the standards I would expect in terms of how it looks, sounds, plays and fits.

Daddario is always the best
Never play a gig without backup single strings and daddario is the only strings I use, simply the best.

Strings for my baby
The only string that ever breaks is the high E string...I was so glad to see they had single string replacements. Now I have a couple of replacements on hand and it cost me way less than a new set of strings. I picked up 3 for now.
