Nice shell that DOES fit the new Dell XPS 13" 9360 touch models as of March 2017
Just wanted to clarify that this DOES fit the new Dell XPS 13 9360 models (not the 2 in 1, but the regular 13" laptop). My Dell XPS is new as of March 8, 2017. I don't know why the manufacturer keeps stating in the questions that it doesn't, unless people are ordering this for the 2 in 1 version of the Dell It fits very well. You get two pieces. The top is solid with no logo or branding. It does leave fingerprints, at least when new - maybe there is a film left from manufacturing. It clips on securely and won't harm the laptop. I would note that right in the middle front, where you might want to put your finger to lift the top, there is no clip, and the shell will lift a little, but not enough that it feels it would crack or come off. The Dell requires two hands to open anyhow. The bottom piece also clips on securely. It has plenty of open sections for ventilation. None of the ports are covered. There are two flip-down legs if you want to raise the back part of the laptop about an inch or slightly more. It obviously does add a little to the bulk of the laptop, but minimally, and no significant extra weight. Overall, I think it's worth the cost. It would likely break first and absorb a lot of the impact if you were to drop your laptop.

Dell XPS 13 must-have
Fits the newest 2017 XPS 13 model perfectly. There IS a small gap when you close the lid, but it really is tiny - I am annoyed easily by that kind of thing and this is so minimal it really doesn't bother me (we're talking <1mm). Easy to install. Dark enough that you can't see the laptop logo, which is nice. It won't protect it from a fall, but will prevent scrapes. My favorite part of this is the built in legs: they are reasonably strong and allows for extra cooling and positions the keyboard well for typing. There is an abundance of vents on the bottom, so (coupled with the legs) I think if anything this case will keep your laptop COOLER - I am not worried about it increasing temperatures. I'd buy it again!

damages bezel lining of screen, leaves marking from poor quality plastic on underside of laptop. looks good but comes at risk.
FYI THIS WILL COSMETICALLY DAMAGE YOUR 9360. Yes, mine is left with minor cosmetic damage that is super annoying because I dropped over a G on this unit. so upset about it tbh. The part that it damages is the black lining of the bezel, there are now two identical small dents to the bezel lining on both sides of the screen. and the bottom side of laptop has markings left from the cheap plastic, i'm assuming it can be washed off with some non-abrasive solution but the fact that it can't be wiped off with a microfiber cloth is annoying. With that said, the all black exterior looks ace imo and I do like the completely logo-free look. i'm giving this a one star review because this $20 product forever damaged the bezel lining of this $1000+ laptop. just keep that in mind if you decide to purchase.

Fits well and offers decent protection - Recommended
With limited options for Dell XPS 13 cases or covers, I decided to go with the clear iPearl case. Considering the cost of the laptop, this was a cheap investment to offer it some protection, even if it didn't work out. Overall, I'm quite happy with the case. It fits the laptop very well, is easy to grip, provides extra protection against scratches or in case of a drop, and has two built in stands to optionally raise the back of the laptop while in use. One unavoidable issue is that with the case on, the laptop does not close as tightly as it does without it. This can rarely cause the lid to open enough to come out of sleep mode. Having lugged the laptop around on a regular basis, this really hasn't been an issue, except for a few times when I took the laptop out of my bag and found it really hot because it was running in a closed bag. The main gripe I have is that the back corners of the laptop get the least coverage and protection, when this is where I would expect it to be needed the most. The left rear corner has a tiny bit of coverage on a little more than half of the corner curve, whereas the right rear corner has no coverage at all. Most likely, if the laptop fell when closed, this is where it would strike. The reasoning for this is understandable, however. It is to allow for the lid to open to its maximum. If you look at the back of the laptop, there is very little space between the screen and the bottom part of the laptop when it is open. Furthermore, there is a lock port on the right side of the laptop, which iPearl apparently didn't want to restrict with the case. I personally don't care about the lock port. If my laptop's locked to a desk, I probably wouldn't need a hard cover on it... Lastly, the two flip out feet on the bottom of the case. These work well. They are sturdy, easy to open, and don't get in the way if not used. When they are open, the back of the laptop is raised about 2 inches. It's similar to the feet on the bottom of external keyboards. While I don't use them very often, they work well and are a nice extra option. Overall, I recommend the iPearl mCover Hard Shell Case to anyone that has a Dell XPS 13 laptop. The big decision is, what color to get.

Fits like a dream and looks cool on my XPS 13
Fits like a dream and looks cool on my XPS 13 from early 2016. Snaps into place on the cover and base with just a little effort, and then stays on unless you force it off. And that's a good thing. The color is somewhat translucent, so it lends an extra dimension to the XPS metal underneath. I'm using the red version, and it's a stylish alternative to zillions of aluminum MacBooks I see. Every port is accessible, and the case barely adds any noticeable girth or weight. And it definitely protects from zipper scratching and paw prints resulting from extracting or inserting the laptop into a case or backpack. As a bonus, the little snap-out feet on the back make a great stand elevating the back about an inch and a half or so. (Note: This version DOES NOT fit the earlier model XPS from 2015.)

Couldn't be better
I took a $20 chance ;) and, yes, it fits the 9360 perfectly. Like a phone case. No added bulk or weight. Top easily installs in 5 seconds and 5 seconds bottom. No negatives to this cover and the lid closes fully. Protection from scratches, dings, dents, bumps. I'm sure there's very little big drop to hard surface protection but I don't want an Otterbox, construction site, improvised explosive device-protected appearance. Mine is the clear and it's completely clear. From further than 6 inches away, it's invisible! Was I paid to say this? No. I'm just a guy who researched for some reasonably priced, reasonably adequate protection for my laptop and am thoroughly satisfied with this cover. Pros: * Case snaps into place and fits snugly * Doesn't feel like it's in the way of any ports * Doesn't feel like it prevents the laptop from closing fully (although technically maybe held ajar about .5 to 1mm) Cons: * Edges are not rounded, feel a little sharp * Plastic feels cheap and shiny (and not in a pretty high-gloss kind of way), unlike the soft rubberized Procase shell I have for my Macbook. This contrasts with the high end build quality of the laptop itself. * The black one is only very very mildly translucent, not see-through enough to clearly see the Dell logo or any stickers (if you're a sticker kinda person). * Has small raised lettering (model number?) at the bottom edge of the shell for the screen and a small raised arrow to indicate which way to orient the shell. It's annoying because it's clearly a corner cut when they should've printed an indicator on the inside of the shell to indicate which way side goes down but chose not to to cut manufacturing costs. * Does not include a silicone keyboard cover. Summary: Appears to be the only option available. Could be worse. I will continue to use it for the time being.

Works as expected but too bulky...
5 stars first and foremost because this hard shell does in fact fit perfectly on the Dell XPS 13" 9343 (2015 dell XPS). Snaps on and off easy enough but not so easy as to fall off randomly and the holes lined up perfectly with the vents on the bottom. All in all this was a perfectly made product but I personally decided to do without it. It just added far too much bulk to what was supposed to be an ultra portable computer; suddenly my sleek little XPS looked too much like my 7 year old clunky HP. This is only my personal preference though and it's as there isn't a way around that, there's no reason to take off a star; just be advised that you might not want more than some kind of film to use on the top cover. Again though, if you're not too concerned with looks over protection (and I could learn a thing or two here) then this is exactly the product you're looking for.

It protects
This item was for my son's laptop. He said he liked it, in that nonchalant, mono-syllabic way teenagers are well known for. As long as it protects his computer, it's doing its job. I personally like the little pop-out feet that it has; that's a nice feature because I get to see his face and not just the top of his head.
