very sterile and good piercing kit for starters
okay i wanted to write a review after having the septum in for at least a month, it’s been a full month and i’ve experienced no infection and no trouble! so it’s safe to say, every needle and piercing was sanitized and sterile as said. for safety reasons though, i did dip the needle and septum piercing into some rubbing alcohol before piercing my nose. always be safe! i chose to use the black w the points at the end, it’s a bit hard to flip it up considering the points so if you need to flip it up i’d recommend the ball ends. other than that, i’d say if you really want to pierce something yourself this is a good kit! i’m thinking of piercing my bridge myself sometime in the future 👁note: please do some research on your own before piercing anything by yourself. i did a weeks full of research and looking at proff piercers/tutorials before buying this kit and deciding to do it myself. I know i’ve said it before but be safe!!!

Perfect, even for beginners
Did my septum with this kit after three crooked piercing attempts by “professionals”. Worked great! Needed some extra rubbing alcohol to cleanse the area, but other than that, it worked brilliantly!

This thing was amazing, but I did make one harmless mistake.
ALL RIGHT. This thing was amazing, but I did make one harmless mistake, and I'd like you guys not to make it as I did. There are two hemostats, some alcohol wipes, and gloves. Then there are two separate bags. One bag has 14g needles and jewellery, the other has the smaller 16g needles and smaller jewellery. I pierced my belly button with a 16g and used the small jewellery - thing is, the jewellery doesn't really fit inside the needle. Good thing it was just a belly button! It worked out.TL:DR - Use the big needle with the small jewellery.Sterilize EVERYTHING, and happy piercing, everyone!

Just What I Was Looking For
Update (2 ish years later): my piercing is healthy and clean! No troubles or infection anywhere!!!I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of this product, considering it's low price. I used a couple things in addition to this for my piercings: Provon Medicated Chloroxylenol Antibacterial Soap, and H2Ocean Aftercare Spray.I pierced my navel with this kit, and it was pretty much perfect. First I lathered my hands in the medicated soap and then prepped the piercing site with the alcohol wipes. I pinched the injection site with my fingers because I have terrible luck with clamps, and pushed the needle through quickly and easily. Not because I'm super hardcore or anything, but because these needles are wonderfully sharp and very effective. There was very little excess blood flow (they're hollow, so once they go through the tissue the blood kinda just gathers on the inside of the pointed tip) and immediately after piercing I cleaned the jewel with the alcohol pad. I also cleaned off any blood with the alcohol pad as well. The jewel (14g for my navel) fit perfectly and I feel no discomfort. I've been cleaning it in the shower with the Chloroxylenol Soap and rinsing it with a warm slightly damp washcloth. Afterward I use the H2Ocean, and there isn't a whiff of infection anywhere in sight. I'll update this review a couple months down the road and let you guys know how my piercing is doing. If you do find that your piercing is causing you discomfort after a couple days of having the jewel in place, treat it with Hydrogen Peroxide for a week. If you still experience discomfort, remove your jewel and treat the open area with hydrogen peroxide until it closes/heals. Talk to your local professional tattoo and piercing shop.Sidenote: the second pair of alcohol wipes dried out on me, probably because I opened the second package too soon. I think that's my own fault. If you'd like to make your own sterile wipes (which I don't recommend but will probably end up doing) take a nonwoven gauze (think Dynarex sponges) and soak it for at least a half hour in Isopropyl rubbing alcohol solution and then treat your piercing/injection area. Thanks for reading! Was this helpful? Let me know :)

Great kit
This is a great kit for those DIYers that can't justify spending nearly $60 per piercing or who like to do things on a whim.It comes with everything you need to do many 14 and 16 gauge piercings, though you should definitely read through the description to ensure it comes with the particular jewelry you're looking for or buy some when you order this. The plastic forceps it comes with are actually great. Most people, myself included, would assume they'd be terrible but they were actually much nicer to use than the metal ones I bought to accompany this kit. They have a small amount of give so they were able to lock in place without causing pain and did not slide around. The metal ones were not able to lock in place while gripping skin. There are 13-16ga needles included. I actually used the 15ga for 16ga piercings because you can fit the 16ga jewelry in the 15ga needles to do a more pain free pass through. I didn't try fitting the 16 in 16ga needles but judging by the fit in the 15ga needles it probably wouldn't fit. Now for just a suggestion for anyone that game pierced themselves, or been pierced at all. Your body is going to fight you trying to pierce yourself. It will go much slower if you do it yourself and be much more painful than if someone else, such as a professional, pierces you. Your body does not want to harming it and will fight it. You can do it yourself, many of us have, but I'd suggest finding someone knowledgeable that you trust that can help you. Also, the company is great. The Amazon warehouse sent me lingerie by mistake. I emailed the company and they quickly sent me a new kit. You won't be able to do a refund or return request but you can contact them and explain it if you get the wrong item

Great Quality! 100% Recommend
Great quality piercings. Been looking everywhere for some good quality gold jewelry. All gold jewelry I've purchased in the past gave me allergic reactions and the gold would always end up chipping or getting rusty. These piercings are good quality like the ones you get when you first get pierced at a shop. The piercing tools work very well. As soon as it came in we pierced my sister's belly button. Got the job done and looks amazing. Very happy with this kit. Will be purchasing all my jewelry from BodyJ4You from now on.(Photo of my sister's belly button we pierced)

easy to use
Had a friend use it on me. Its easy to use. The clamp hurts a bit and its very awkward so we didn't use it. I recommend coating the needle in polysproin or neosporin before use. It'll make the healing process easier and faster. Make sure to use alcohol to sanitize before use. I noticed the little foam pieces on the tips of the needles came off in shipping so I made sure to thoroughly sanitize first.I recommend watching tutorials before piercing anything it your doing it at home. I did the appropriate research by contacting tattoo parlors near my home. I do wish they had more flat back

Great piercing kit
i didnt end up using the the jewerly but it seems stable and not super cheap. The needles are really good and sturdy and are individually package for sterilization. The clamp kinda hurt my nose when i did my septum, so i didn't use it but it worked fine for my ears. Also as much as the jewelry isnt awful id still recommend buying separate jewelry if you have sensitive ears. i bought a septum ring from pierceduniverse.com and it felt alot better then the jewelry that comes with this. But overall the made it super simple to pierce and i really reccomed

I TRIED!
I pierced my second piercing on my lobe with this kit, but i bought another set of surgical steel earrings because i was skeptical of how good any of the jewlery in this package could be.The needles are sharp and work just fine, BUT all the jewlery?! I was unable to get ANY of it unscrewed. Seriously its impossible, i tried my hands, with tools to hold the earring and unscrewing the ball, NOTHING worked. I even contacted the company that sells the kits themselves and they did not help at all. If you're looking to use the jewlery in this kit, don't even waste your time.

if you're gonna try to pierce yourself at home, get this
i live by BodyJ4you products! i have 2 of these sets and i just ordered another. the clamps work great, the needles are great and the jewelry is great quality! only issues i have are the fact that the jewelry is the same size as the needle so its really hard to get the earrings in (hoops are impossible) and I WISH they sold transfer tubes(idk if thats the real name) because whenever i pierce my ears i either have to put the jewelry in backwards or pierce myself backwards. but i still totally recommend this set, you just might have to develop some odd skills :)
