solid construction - works great - nothing not to like
Garmin Large Handlebar Mount for VIRB and VIRB Elite: Solid construction. The VIRB snaps in securely. And there are no issues tightening the screws enough so that it won't easily slip while my bike is in motion.

Works fine after tightening a few times
This mount fits on my 31.8 mm diameter bars without using either of the two the shims provided. For smaller diameter bars like my vintage road bike I have to use one of the shims so it's a little harder to mount. It holds the camera fine although there is a very minute amount of play when it's mounted. This doesn't seem to affect the quality of the video.I had to tighten the adjusting screws a few times during my first few rides because they would loosen after riding over bumpy roads. There is a plastic thumb screw to adjust the camera angle in relation to the road and a plastic collar that allows camera rotation in the horizontal plane. Once I got everything tight enough (I wrapped a cloth around the collar and thumbscrew and used a small pair of slip-joint pliers to give it a little more torque) it seems to stay that way. It hasn't loosened since. The threads on the adjusting screws should have been a little finer in my opinion. The main clamping screw works great though and the mount does not slip on the bars at all when hand tight. Also on the positive side, all the metal parts are 300 series stainless steel so they won't rust.I like to mount my camera under the bars so it's out of the way. When you do that you can tell the camera (through the settings menu) that it's mounted inverted so it will flip the picture automatically. The only problem with mounting it that way is that the screw is pretty long and it sticks up quite a bit.

Great job Amazon
I wanted to be able to mount my Virb on both my mountain bike and my road bike. Both have different sized handlebars and was hoping I could use this on both bike without having to get an extra mount. Thankfully this product delivers!I paid for next day shipping placing my order at 8pm. I had it in my hand 17 hours laters, wow!! Great job Amazon! The product itself is very well made by Garmin. It is plastic but sturdy and does not feel flimsy in your hand. The mount uses a screw to secure it into various sized bars, poles, branches. I've tested it in trail situations on tree limbs/branches and it works great! The only con I could find was that is heavy trail conditions, the mount has the slightest amount of rattle. But it is so faint, that it is hardly noticeable.

Does what it's supposed to, but tighten the screws tight
This mount installs quickly and easily, allowing me to mount my Virb on the handlebars of my road bike. On my first ride, I did have a screw rattle out, but it might have been my fault for not tightening it enough. The second time I used it was for a 58 mile road race, the end of which involves screaming downhill and slamming onto brick streets at 45 mph. The mount and camera did fine, and I even have the camera mounted upside down on the handlebars, so it's basically hanging there with nothing but the mount clips holding it on.

Holds the VIRB firmly, but odd mounting positions will be your only option.
Technically this does the job, but I can't imagine anyone would ever want to ride with the VIRB in the position that this puts it. Including the cradle, the camera would be about 4-5" off the top of the bars. If you go OTB, it's going to send the camera straight into your chest. No thanks. There are better solutions out there, though as a VIRB owner I know all too well that most of them will be DIY. The best solution I've come across is to use a standard out-front GPS mount, and then use an extra sticky-backed VIRB helmet mount attached to the GPS cradle (look on YouTube, there are plenty of videos that explain this better). It can put the VIRB out in front of you where it belongs, instead of sticking way off the bars. Why Garmin made the VIRB mount different from all of the other action cameras out there I'll never understand, but this isn't the right part for the job. I wouldn't even use this on a road bike.

Works well
Overall, the system works well. I really wish the mount was easier to get a little larger. To attach it to the head tube between my handlebars takes every thread of the screw and not using a rubber spacer. You also have to really tighten everything down or the camera may slip. Overall, though, it works well.

Good mount with a somewhat dangerous design.
Holds camera securely but mounting screw is vert long and unprotected. I prefer to mount the camera below the bars but the screw sticks up and could cause injury in a crash. Will look for a rubber sleeve as added protection. Will add photo ASAP

so far, so good.
I used it just once, and the quality of the material seems good. The footage was ok, but with sounds coming from the bike, like pedals clipping, braking, etc was very enhanced, which was not desirable. I'll try to put some more rubber rings trying to isolate a little more the camera from the bike.I would recommend it for who wants to record theirs rides.

Works fine!
It does the job quite well. There is some vibration depending on the road, but I don't think that is avoidable. Here is an example shot with the support: [...]
