The Goodnight Gecko

This is beautifuly illustrated,and I have no clue how to explain the writing.. This is my favorite book (Child hood, but still enjoy it as an adult) I can’t even give the book complete justice.

We read it every night!

Very well done, beautifully written, beautifully illustrated, engaging at every moment. Truly one of my favorite children's books. So full of authentic details about Hawaii - the scenery, the houses on stilts, the flowers and other plants, the fish. The only criticism I have of this book is that it makes me miss Hawaii!

My now 2 year old has loved the book for a while. It doesn't really have a "moral of the story" except for maybe don't be afraid of the darkness. But it is nice and simple and cute, and I'm a pro at doing the voices for it.My son loves having us put books in his crib with him. We had to order a second copy since he has ripped some pages out of the first.

My 2 year old grandson absolutely loves this book! He even reads with me when the elephant is telling Gecko to TO HOME and go to bed:).

It had a written inscription in the front, which I wasn't expecting. But it's in otherwise great secondhand condition.
