Simpler then it looks!
My students love this book! It was a welcome addishion to the Elementry afterschool program class I teach. The moddles are easy for kids ages 7-11 to follow and get amazing results.

Wow!
This book is great, simply great. I'm a newbie to Origami, I've started with a beginner's book and after I had finished it I bought this one and thought a modular origami would be nice. Well, its awsome! Most of the projects are perfectly clear, and the results are stable and good looking. My desk is now covered with my modules. There are few projects that are'nt clear enough (beware of the equilateral triangle from hexagon - I've spent hours and a lot of paper on it and still have'nt got a clue of how it should be assembled....), but most of them are great. I've enjoyed working on them for hours, and wanted more.Great purchace!Shay

A good introduction, but it requires concentration and patience!
This book is not for everyone, but for those who have the patience and concentration, it is a good introduction to folding these polyhedra shapes. We were able to accomplish folding some of these, while others I know will be somewhat of a chore. The key is to take your time, check and recheck each direction, and be prepared to refold a piece if it does not come out perfectly. These are a lot of fun if you are willing to put in the time and patience!

clear diagrams, lots of fun
At first, I was put off by the fact that there's no color in the book. But as I continued following the book and making the modulars, I found the diagrams are so clearly illustrated that not having color illustration was not an impediment. One of the most enjoyable and therapeutic sets of origami models to make for beginner to intermediate folders.

Great Little Book at a Great Price
This is a great book to start out with, and the price is more than reasonable. The instructions for building the pieces are easy to understand. It took me less than fifteen minutes to make the piece in the bottom left corner of the cover. If you're a grade school teacher this might be a great book for an arts and crafts project. I would think that a third grader could handle several of them.

Good for getting started with polyhedra
The Beginner's Book of Modular Origami Polyhedra was my introduction to the wonderful world of origami polyhedra. It gives helpful background info on the platonic solids, and features a few models in the shape of each. Unfortunatly, the book doesn't really have the best diagrams, some of the models are pretty advanced (though mostly because of the bad diagrams), and a couple of the models are just the same modules put in each section. The only problem with having the same modules is that you don't have diagrams for how to put together some of the larger polyhedra. The book still keeps me entertained, and the models look amazing on my bookshelves. Hopefully the author will publish more books on the other polyhedra out there.

Great gift
My 11 year old brother loved this as a gift and enjoys all origami crafts. Would highly recommend to anyone who has an interest in paper crafts.

it goes pretty well, which is good because each design takes ...
This is an interesting book but some of the directions are a little hard to follow. Once you get the hang of it though, it goes pretty well, which is good because each design takes several of the same shape and they all fit together. It's pretty fun, a little frustrating, and also rewarding once you figure it out.
