Picture it. Bisbee, Arizona. 2021. A pandemic rages on, and we're all stuck inside, ordering things to arrive at our doors. Our dogs got a little too excited for the FedEx guy. And the UPS guy. I mean, who knows when there will be bones in there? And then the rabbits. Oh, the rabbits. You can't keep them away from the gate. And then a roadrunner. It needs to chase the lizards and snakes, right? It was an endless stream of excitement right in front of their view, just a pane of glass in a door away... Which wouldn't have been as big of a deal if I wasn't working on our old-but-still-kicking Lenovo Yoga 720 by the other door. Before I could get them to calm down and perhaps relax in their crates for a bit, a cow came by (as one does) so that was the end of that.KERPSLAT! The puppy ran after the adult dogs who were running toward the other door and she decided to take a shortcut through my work area. That meant she took a dive through the laptop's cord and everything went bouncing on the floor. Thankfully the Lenovo is built almost like a tank (the only time it got damaged was when the roof at our old place blew off in a storm and it got pelted with nails and screws as we evacuated), but the cord... not so much. Took the direct hit. (Two, actually - I didn't learn from the first time and she did it again not ten minutes later. Calf was looking for its mom. It happens.) It worked for a little while despite being bent at the end, but eventually that little yellow part just fell out onto the floor when it was unplugged the next time. Ouch. That charger was less than a year old, but it is what it is...Thankfully, this charger (which our old Amazon order led me to) was cheaper than the last one we bought on here last August, and got it in less than two days despite living down some crazy dirt roads in the middle of nowhere in the outskirts of a mountain town on the US/Mexican border. Exactly what we needed. Worked perfectly. Very grateful there were some left and ready to ship so quickly out here! Thank you!~Mrs. Al
