We use 2 of these for filtering water to drink and for our plants. When backflushed every 4 uses it will last 30-40,000 gallons. Without backflushing it will last 10,000 gallons or so. Either way it's the best hose filter on the market.

I had already purchased some bulk items such as boogie brew, boogie black, blue plus filter, and more. My vegetable garden is soaring with daily growth, and pests have been at a minimum after only a couple months of use. The filter provides a much cleaner source with chlorine and chloramines, etc. Definitely recommended!!!

I loved that my water is clean and safe for my plants and my animals. I use the water for my marijuana plants my vegetable plants, my medicinal and I gave my dogs a bath . There wasn’t any problem with the water at all

I have hard water and chloramine in it as well. This helps remove unwanted additives, lowers pH and over all has helped with my grow.

Some things to consider. Carbon should not dry out. I applied a ball valve at the out port so I can keep water inside the filter. One should not run hot water through carbon. If I leave my hose out in the sun, water heats up then runs through filter. I installed mine at end of hose. This could also be installed between spigot and hose to avoid hot water issue. If I mount mine directly to spigot it blocks a narrow walking path. Feels like I lost about 50% of water pressure but I have not used a pressure gauge to confirm. I now plan to install dual 20" x 4" filter housings like Pentek Big Blue. Dual filter is strictly for redundancy incase filter 1 becomes inactive.
