Great product for the price.
I didn't want a full dose and this half dose is just what I need. This is my third bottle over the years and it works as well as Zyrtec but in the smaller dose a want and a whole lot cheaper.

Good product, good price
I have been using this brand for a decade and recently decided to try 5 mg in the morning and 5 mg at night versus 10 mg once a day. This has improved my sleep and my symptoms don’t seem to flare as much.

Same product, much better price
What's not to love about saving money over brand-name prices? The members of my family all have relatively minor, but annoying pollen, dust, or mold allergies. We all think Claritin is completely worthless. Cetirizine HCL works well for all of us. I take it every day.

Allergy Ridden Cat
After thousands of dollars at the vet, we found the holy grail. Our poor cat, was miserable, after a move out east. Constant itching & licking, hair loss & bald patches, asthma, his personality disappeared & he didnt even want to play anymore or greet us. Without vet consent, I purchased these, thinking about his current quality of life. We started with 1/2 a pill. Nothing. After a few days, moved on to 1 pill with mediocre results. Began trying 1 pill in the AM...& 1 pill in PM. Miracles happened! Its been a couple months & our cat has never been happier or healthier! Every symptom is gone! Weve had no side effects either! I buy lickable cat treats (paste), & ingestion is a piece of cake! Hes about 10lbs, 4 yrs old & must be on special UTI food, so if he did have a food allergy, switching foods, wasnt even an option for us. You have nothing to lose by trying this! Stop spending thousands at ur vet & give this a whirl!

Good for My Hives but Causes Drowsiness
I got this to help me out with a mild case of hives. Cetirizine Is supposed to be non-drowsy but this made me a bit drowsy and sleepy. However, these are half dosages after all and I am no small fry. I also took the first dosage on an empty stomach. This is my first self-treatment and there are two other top non-drowsy chemicals to try out next - loratadine and Fexofenadine.Update Nov 2024: after some trail and error, the ideal dosage for me is one pill every 3-4 days for the hives. And because they cause me sleepiness and drowsiness, I take the pill at night about half an hour before going to sleep. I still wake up a little drowsy but the one pill keeps the hives at bay for 3-4 days. But, after I finish this bottle, I will try loratadine or Fexofenadine.

Effective and affordable but be careful about Urinary Tract Infections
I think this is a very good product. It's effective and MUCH cheaper than the brand. I like that the dose is 5 mg., because I sometimes want a lower dose. If I feel I need more, I can take another 5 mg. I just want to mention that antihistamines might contribute to urinary tract infections (UTI's). My eye doctor suggested I take 10 mg. daily during seasonal allergy time (along with 2 kinds of eye drops). I was doing that this year (2016) and developed a UTI, and 4 weeks later, another one! I am 69 and I haven't had a UTI in years. I thought, "what's going on?" I googled "can antihistamines cause urinary tract infections?" and found several articles that indicated there could be a link.Last year, 2015, I had very bad seasonal allergies, and the worst symptom was itchy eyes that nearly drove me crazy. I didn't really resolve it last year. The cetirizine helped some, but it didn't solve it. This year I'm looking for more solutions.I'm rating this 5 stars because it's effective. It mostly helps me with runny nose and post-nasal drip. I didn't lower my rating because of the possible side effect of UTI's. I just want to warn folks to be aware and to be careful. The fact that this is 5 mg. allows you to take a lower dose, so that's good. I'm looking into Flonase, and also NAC, to deal with seasonal allergies. I still plan to take cetirizine if I feel I need it, but I'll be more careful. Thank you and good luck to you.

Steps I take for my cat to voluntarily eat the pill
I tried a bunch of different pastes and techniques, and eventually my cat figured out how to lick the paste without taking the pill. She's been less fussy about other meds in the past, but this one apparently tastes REAL bad. These are my steps that have worked 100%. I'm very careful to not transfer the medicine onto anything that my cat's mouth will touch by touching.Ingredients (both off amazon)Size 5 gelatin pill capsuleVetoquinol Pill Wrap Treat paste1. Get a size 5 gelatin pill capsule, open it & set down2. Shake a pill into the bottle cap, set down3. In my left hand pick up the larger half of the capsule4. Using my right index, middle, and ring fingers, pick up the pill and slide it into the larger half of the capsule. I have to squeeze the capsule on its sides slightly to make it open wider. I try not to have the pill scrape against the capsule to avoid dust breaking off on the outside of the capsule.5. Using my right pinky and thumb, pick up the smaller half of the capsule and put it on the larger half. I sometimes have to squeeze it a little to make it wider to fit the other half.6. Put the capsule down7. With my left hand, get a dime-size pinch of the paste, mush it flat8. (Still with my left hand) Dab it onto the capsule, and roll it over the capsule until it's even and covering it on all sidesI just put it in front of my cat and she swallows it whole.
