Ontel Armor Nail Gel, Pink, 0.45 Fl Oz, As Seen on TV

This is literally the only nail polish I use. It goes on easily and dries so freaking fast. And for being gel, I don’t feel like my nails look like total crap afterward. Most of the time I apply one coat and that’s it. Yes, two coats will hold better but I’m lazy ok. But you really only need one coat for it to look good if you’re pressed for time. So this nail polish is magical - it does what it shows on the box. I have no idea how, but it’s basically clear but when you go into the sun, it becomes like an opaque pinkish white and it literally smooths out all the changes in your natural nail color (from nail bed to tip) to make it more uniform without adding an actual color. So your nails literally look longer and ready to be used has a hand model. No joke. Also, I’m bad at painting my nails (like literally paint all over my skin), but with this stuff, it blends seamlessly into your natural nail so you literally can’t tell if you mess up or miss a spot. I tried to capture the sheen in both pics but my photography skills suck.

So, I don't write a lot of reviews but I have purchased this many times before because how good it's been for me. I don't use acrylics and like to grow my natural nails. I've used Sally Hansen's diamond strength nail hardener and for me personally not a good choice. It did make my nails harder that they would Crack on hard impact, the coat would peel off shortly, and it did not have any color. This one yes although I saw this on an infomercial, then I saw this at a Rite Aid "as seen on TV section" and decided what could $10 hurt? I have never regretted this purchase. First off it feels like a gel, but not thick enough to never dry fast enough. Of course the thicker the application or layering it will peel but I do 2 coats maybe 3, but applied thinly. Yes it goes on pink but it's the color it looks like in the sun that I love... the UV rays create this beautiful pinkish blue tint. In Black light it glows like a turquoise blue... if you're into that kinda thing, which I am! I noticed this when I went to Universal or Disneyland. I don't file the ridges off my nails anymore, and this polish is thick enough, it really does smooth that away so no need to do that step either. I have used it as a base coat or top coat. It works great for me. Also one last thing... I have used other pink coat stuff, but I like this the best. It's the application, it's fast drying, and honestly I love the glowy pink/bluish color it gives on sunny days. **side note***Also apply to the nail only, if any of it applies to your skin or cuticle and you try to peel or scratch it off, it will also take it off from the nail as a whole. I think this is one of the reasons it doesn't easily chip. Remove it with your nail polish remover with a cotton swab instead.

A year away from the big 6-0 and my nails have weakened, splitting easily. I stopped wearing acrylic nails 10 years ago after wearing them for about 15 years. While my nails were damaged when I stopped, most of that damage was gone in about a year. About 2 years ago, nail polish began peeling and chipping off the day after I applied it, completely off most nails within 4 days. I have recently been using the alcohol wipes to clean off any oils prior to applying polish and that has extended my polish wear by a day or two. I prefer to wear clear/clear-pink polish, but have been unable to find the darker pink tinted, clear polish in my area. I saw the Pink Armor and decided to give it a try. I washed my hands thoroughly, leaving them to air dry for at least 15 minutes, then applied the first coat. It did dry quickly, but I still waited about 10 minutes before applying the second coat. I then let that dry for two hours before putting my hands in any water. The next day I applied a third coat and allowed that to dry 15 minutes before using my hands. Two days later, the polish is still fully intact...no peeling or chipping. The color is not exactly what I expected. Under medium indoor lighting, my nails look healthy...natural looking pink nails with brighter white tips. But under bright lights and sunshine (I live in Arizona!), the pink color is a weird, almost neon pinkish lavender with really bright white tips...kinda takes away the "natural healthy" look. So I give it a 5 star for staying on my nails where other polishes won't, a 5 because my nails do look better, and a 3 for the color. While I do agree the price is very HIGH, it doesn't affect the performance of the product, so it does not affect my rating. UPDATE: Okay, I've been wearing this for about 2 weeks now, and for me, I do like this polish over others I've tried recently. The first week, the tips began peeling a little on day four so I added another coat...problem solved. On day eight, I removed the polish easily, and again painted two coats as described above. For the past week, I've added another coat every other day, and I've had no problem with peeling, chipping, etc. I've also noticed my nails do look better, and seem to be stronger. No breaking, splitting, or bending easily as before.

Unbelievable is one of the only words I can think of. Now before I start my review note this this is an amazon verified purchase. The reason I state this is because this review is going to sound like its paid for. I bought this item for my mother who has had severe issues with her nails for years now. Her nails were chipping, breaking, brittle and breaking off below the skinline to expose her flesh underneath. If she touched her nail or bumped it it would split and she was in significant pain and discomfort for many years. Over those years we have tried so many things for her. I've bought sally hansen strong as nails, bought her a garlic nail polish that promised to cure her ailments, took her to get nail treatments and nothing... really NOTHING worked. Then I came across this and she and I joked we'd try it. "as seen on tv" rarely has a good association in our books... but as a last effort I purchased this for her before I moved away. Three months later her nails are long and healthy and strong. No chipping, no breaking and she's able to put nail polish on them again. Her praise for this product was so great that she went to their site to leave a personal review. Honestly I never would have thought that this product would work. Skeptical was an understatement but I am eating my words and I am more than happy and satisfied with this product. On a sidenote: if you have nail fungus I do not recommend you use this. My SO and I bought one for ourselves after my mother's praise and while it does keep your nails healthy, using in on a nail with fungus seems to make the issue worse.

This is an old favorite of mine. It helps protect my natural nails, so that I can grow them out a bit. It goes on nicely and dries quickly, perfect for both a base coat and top coat. However, the cute pink tint is used to have out in the sunshine is no longer. I had a bit in an older bottle, and compared the color to the newer bottle. It was not the same, the newer bottle was a bit mellowed. All of the reviews I read stating this are very true. The newer formula isn't quite the same, and I may not be repurchase, because the color was the main thing I liked about it. I can get these benefits from less expensive polish.

Really impressed with this strengthener so far. It is easy to apply and makes the nails feel instantly stronger as it seems to put like a thick coating over them but it is hardly visible, it looks like naturally shiny, healthy nails. It dries really quickly and you can apply more coats if you want to; I tend to apply 2 coats right away and then another on after a few days. It says to remove it after a week and so I did that but there was no signs of wear on the nail enamel at all, no chips or peels :-O, so I think that you could get away with doing it less often. I haven't tried putting nail enamel over the top yet so I don't know if it will make my full manicure last longer but I'm hoping it will. The colour is so natural that I think that it will look particularly lovely as a French manicure :-D.

I was very sceptical about the claims this product made but being as my nails were becoming so weak and broken, I thought I'd give it a try. My doubts about this product were unfounded, it actually works!!! The difference it has made to my nails in only a couple of weeks is amazing, they now feel strong and are beginning to look good. The name is very appropriate as it is like an armour protecting your nails, and you can even put normal nail polish over it. So pleased I tried it, and the bottle is large enough for it to last ages with just one treatment a week.
