DigitaLIZA 120 Film Scanning Mask

This is a nifty little tool for flattening negatives or transparencies before scanning. It takes a minute or two to figure out how to make it work, then it's perfectly simple and obvious. I'm using it with a Bessler slide copier and the little magnets on the base hold it in position perfectly.The one issue -- and it is not worth deducting a star -- is that the sheet metal base arrives in a plastic sleeve that apparently was intended to protect it during transit but is a real problem to remove. You can pull the plastic off with a bit of effort but getting the residual adhesive off requires solvent (alcohol works) and some serious scrubbing. After that the holder becomes an essential tool in the scanning toolkit.As a dividend, the company that sells it has a particularly cute and quirky way with words and their product literature is actually worth reading.

I am using this to hold old 120 film flat, so I can photograph it, to create a digital image. The magnet(s) seem a little stronger than needed (don't know if they will weaken over time), but it works well. I have used it on 20 negatives so far, and it like it.

I purchased the 120 film version and it has worked perfectly. I shoot a lot of Kodak medium format film and it is notorious for curling and cupping when it comes to scanning. The Digitaliza flattens and holds the film flat and I get better scans than I ever got with the stock film holder with my Epson V600.

I can't use on a canoscan 9000F; I think the mask will be effective when I start using it to hold negatives I'll be digitizing with a camera. I thought the price was high, but the mask seems to be a good and useful product.

I've been waiting for this item to become available for quite some time. I have a lot of old negatives to digitize and this device is the best that I have come across to hold the film.

I just took some digital shots of 6x6 medium format negatives and it was flat, easy, and quick. Having a decent holder like this is so worth it. I tried some home-made solutions and wasted a lot of time when I should have just bought this negatives holder!

I have used this film holder for a few months for scanning with my mirrorless camera and it has been faultless. The magnets used to align the film are plenty strong and the holder keeps the film flat and in tension consistently. For the purposes of scanning, you can’t ask for much more.Although it is relatively expensive for a film holder, I feel as though the good build quality and the amount of time it saves make it a worthwhile purchase.I would recommend it to anyone that scans film regularly and wants something that just works.

Habe das Teil versuchsweise zum Scannen mit meinem Epson V700 gekauft. Die Ergebnisse sind auf Anhieb etwas besser als diejenigen, die mit den Epson-Filmhaltern erstellt wurden. Einen Vergleich mit Nass-Scans habe ich noch nicht unternommen, aber für schnelle, unkomplizierte Scans ist der DigitiLIZA 120 auf jeden Fall hervorragend geeignet. Eine Steigerung wäre noch, wenn man für die Filmebene die Höhe justieren könnte. Das würde sicherlich noch einen Schub für die Bildqualität geben.

Enfin un vrai passe-film, simple et efficace. Couplé à une tablette lumineuse Kaiser et mon reflex sur trépied, c'est parfait pour 'scanner' mes négatifs en 120 mm avec une qualité optimale et à moindre coût. Super produit !
